Saw this being ordered at most tables so decided to give it a shot
On first look, the surface looked abit burnt to me but luckily there wasn’t any burnt taste. The sides of the hotcake were crispy while the middle remained moist.
Tastewise, the maple syrup and the jam gave the sweet and sour contrast with the occasional bites of the nuts. Oh and the ice cream was way too little and melted very quickly on top the warm hotcake.
Not too bad but it’s def a sharing portion.
Second time eating this truffle capellini and I still enjoyed it.
Strong truffle taste
This was pretty good.
Pork was on the salty side but complemented well with the veggies
Sourdough was not those hard kind. Poached egg was beautiful w the gooey centre.
I have been wanting to try the Truffle Capellini ($19) from Curious Palette. The al dente capellini is drenched in a truffle-infused mushroom fricassee and topped with grated parmesan, chives and an onsen egg. The sauce is rich, creamy and thankfully not too jelak, but it is a little salty. Each strand of pasta is thoroughly coated in the flavourful sauce and runny egg, and the generous serving of mushrooms adds a nice bite to the dish. Overall, pretty tasty and value-for-money in view of the large portion! P.S. There is a one-for-one deal on Entertainer:)
This is my first visit to Curious Palette and I’m loving the rustic-industrial vibes of this cafe. But what really won me over is the Prawn Mentaiko Belacan Pasta ($21.90) that comes with 3 charcoal grilled tiger prawns in tamarind glaze, sakura ebi and dollops of mentaiko. The sauce is rich, flavourful and packed with umami, and the al dente pasta soaks up all that goodness effortlessly. Such decadence!
Dropped by for some coffee and we ordered flat white ($4.90++) and mocha ($5.50++). Both coffees are great, I prefer the mocha slightly more ☺️ The staff was friendly too, he served us the coffee and said “I made a heart for you and a swan for you” 😄 We came at 2+pm on a weekday and the place was bustling with folks having brunch and desserts. Will be back to try their food!
