Had high expectations when i saw reviews for the cafe but i was so disappointed. The mentaiko was nice at the start but became really nauseating same goes for the garlic butter pasta :(

We devoured this while it was still hot, it was so addictive and would totes come back for this again! One of the best few mentaiko fries in sg 😚

It was not bad considering the amount of ebi, ikura, prawns & sauce as well, but felt that it was slightly lacking the garlic taste. Perhaps adding more garlic/fried garlic chips would elevate the dish further!

This Fuji Kori Amann from Daizu cafe, a japanese western minimalist cafe, is constructed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the Kouign Amann dusted with truckloads of matcha powder and pistachio. The Kouign Amann, is a little sweet, a little chewy and a little dense. But it complements well with the nuttiness from the pistachio and bittersweetness from the matcha powder and vanilla ice cream.

A little feels that being you back to japan? 🗻

I feel that this is the minimum standard for sashimi rice bowls. But to be honest, I think there are better options to try here at Daizu. You can easily get this from places like Tanuki Raw, Hinode Izakaya etc. Not sure why it didn’t cross my mind to order the other dishes, was kinda upset after eating this because the portion was so smol ($28 for ikura don aiyo).

Tldr; well executed dish but not worth trying

This was really tasty! It’s not like the usual carbonara which often tastes too heavy and you’ll get sick off halfway into the dish. It’s only slightly crispy and the aroma of garlic butter really comes through. Sadly, the portion size of this is really small, considering we paid $22 for it :(
