Took me long enough to try this!! I absolutely enjoyed the fluffiness and creaminess of the scrambled egg that was drizzled with a bit of soy to give that umami flavour with every bite. The luncheon meat and prawns are perfect complements for your rice with egg, I just wished that there was an option to add more egg to this bowl! The star of the dish really was the scrambled egg, and how it seems really recipe perfected. However, it still comes with a bowl of unimpressive and relatively dry rice that did not match up with its impressive ingredients.

Plain white rice topped with soft, fluffy, and creamy scrambled eggs, delicately drizzled with light soy sauce. To add more savouriness, a few cubes of savoury luncheon meat are scattered over the rice. While the rice itself may be a tad plain and dry, the well-executed scrambled eggs lend moisture to the dish, while the soy sauce adds an extra layer of flavour.

The luncheon meat, diced up into bite-sized pieces, provides a heartening sensation with every chunky, savoury bite.

I also tried the Tomato rice bowl ($4.50) with additional Char Siew ($2.50) and you basically can’t go wrong with the classic tomato egg combination. The tomatoes are sweet and tangy and rice is drenched in all that goodness. However, I didn’t enjoy the Char Siew as much as it was quite ordinary and a little lacking in terms of char and fats.

The Luncheon Meat rice bowl ($5) comes with thick chunks of fried luncheon meat which goes really well with the scrambled egg. Added a dash of aromatic hae bi hiam and that is really the cherry on top of the cake.

I was drawn to the scrambled eggs but the super crispy and well marinated chicken cutlet stole the limelight!
Will definitely be back to try the rest of the meat combination with the scramble eggs!

Thought this was tomato soup at first; so thick and generous was the gravy that it looks like an egg-drop tomato soup. Nice chunks of both tomato and cherry tomatoes, but ultimately I thought the gravy was too sweet and didn't gel well with the scrambled egg. The rice also got very mushy from the gravy.
