Generous serving of fresh fish that was topped with almonds and served with cherry tomatoes and summer beans. You could tell the freshness of the fish by the flakiness of the flesh when cutting through it with a knife and fork. The almonds added a crunchy texture and mouthfeel and acted as a welcome contrast to the entire dish.

Signature Seafood Platter that comes laden with Maine lobster, jumbo prawns, freshly shucked market oysters, mussels and tartares.

The meal started with the “Vanderbilt”, the signature dish of Le Pavillon, of an oyster gratinee covered with a parsley-seaweed crust with bites of hazelnut beneath it. It was a fantastic starter dish with the freshness and savouriness, and everyone on the dining table agreed to it unanimously. It was followed with a trio of seasonal appetizers with a grilled avocado in a harissa yogurt green goodness sauce, sesame-crusted beetroot with a touch of mustard seeds in a tahini dressing and a saffron roasted cauliflower with fresno pepper.

The mains were served thereafter, starting with the Cresson course of butter poached lobster with a base of crushed purple potato, poured over with a watercress veloutĂŠ. I was fortunate to have Chef Daniel Boulud himself serve the watercress veloutĂŠ to me tableside. This lobster was poached perfectly, with the right amount of bite and texture, while the veloutĂŠ gives it a nice refreshing feel while not feeling surfeiting. The Carotte course is of a Mediterranean seabass served with charred leeks, carrot gratin and lemon coulis. The unique factor of this dish is the addition of cilantro which is refreshing and adds to the flavour.

No meal is complete without the desserts and the Chocolat course saw us getting a praliné croustillant with a milk chocolate crémeux and hazelnut nougatine. It was a delicate end to the meal before the restaurant’s signature warm madeleines with lemon essence is served. If you are planning for a date night or a treat to pamper yourself, db Bistro & Oyster Bar is a great place to enjoy authentic Parisian homestyle dining with soulful brasserie classics.

Beautiful American/French style bistro. Amazing food. Great decor. Screaming of luxury and right in the middle of marina bay sands.
Look at the beauty in the food pictures. These are just random phone pictures.

This is the seafood platter which is their signature dish. Just a thing of beauty. I could keep going back for this dish. $125++ for petite size, which is good for 1. $180++ for 2.

But, grossly overpriced and terrible service. The servers were super confused and constantly made errors with our order. We were just about to eat someone's expensive lobster and were stopped at the right time thankfully. We saw the same lobster lifted from our table and served to another table. That was a scary sight in covid times.

Take your date and hope you are lucky with the staff. 4 stars. Expect around 300 for 2.
