[CLOSED] De Poco Poco Bake Shoppe

A Japanese fusion bakery + cafe at the corner of Bugis Junction dishing out delectable food. In love with how their rice is overflowing with sweet Japanese curry and big chunks of teriyaki chicken. Most important of all, it's served piping hot!

😫 After my cousin @mrs_rhino18 treated me to lunch at De Poco Poco Bake Shoppe, we went to check out their yummy looking bakes 🍞. My cousin made her selection really quickly so she reached the counter just before me.
She insisted on paying for me and I declined. Then the staff told her there was a Buy 3️⃣ Get 1️⃣ Free promotion and she was short of a bread. As she left the counter for her bread, I told the guy to total up mine and hers 💰 so I could pay for her share too.
The staff did as I asked and packed everything, waiting for her to come back. Little did I know, he was such a brilliant actor! 🎭 He had already accepted my cousin's money without my knowledge and was in on the prank!

Job well done I must say! 👍🏼

The top layer of the crepe cake felt a little dry; perhaps the inclusion of Azuki was the reason for the texture, but the in between layers were somewhat decent with the tastefully bitter matcha cream that is evenly spread around, giving the crepe cake its flavourful tea aroma. The Azuki in the middle felt a tad dry and stiff; could be better if its a little bit more softened somehow.
