Hadn't been to Northpoint in a while and things seemed to have changed quite a bit here — reopened with the revamped Kopitiam food court, Delicius Pasticceria now has a stall within Kopitiam complete with dine-in seating belonging to them at the side; great for those who want to have their cakes/bread/sandwiches without stepping into the food court.
The Pomme Fromage is, to call it loosely, the baby of an Apple Crumble and a New York Cheesecake — the cake bears the look of an Apple Crumble, with a slice of apple within the cheesecake layer while the cheesecake layer is sandwiched between the tart pastry. Overall it's really not bad; yes, those crumbles could have carried a little more crunch and there could have been more chunks of apple but the dessert is pretty good in its own right — not overly sweet, rich and luscious cheesecake that is not overbearing in terms of cheesiness. Great to know there is somewhere near to go for a decent cake up in the north; at least the Pomme Fromage was a decent option.
(PS: Pretty intrigued that apart from Latte, Cappuccino and Espresso, they do also serve Syphon Coffer here. Would probably try that next time.)
