Surprising nice food and ambience at derwish. Love all the dishes we ordered. Any mains can get one for one free. With gst and svc, it was slightly costly.
Patlican Musakka $24++
Beyti $23.50++
Tea $3++
Headed to Derwish on a hot weekday noon. The restaurant’s interior looks pretty neat, and the food is decent too.
I’d definitely recommend the Beyti if you’re new to Turkish food and don’t mind the strong mutton taste. Do note that you have to order a drink each if you’re using the Burpple 1-for-1 discount. I recommend getting the apple tea.
Borek is like happiness on a plate. Its cheese with something like popiah skin. Ohhh so damn good.
They said this goes well w the kunefe, so it's on the house. So nice of them, and ofc they're right haha one bite of kunefe, one sip of tea and you're in heaven
Cream pudding. Top is not crispy but the burnt part was flavourful. I absolutely loved this for the variety of textures(chewy rice, pistachios etc). Must try, their desserts are another tier
One of the best I've tasted. Just a tad of mozzarella, contributing to the slightly chewy texture and stretchy texture. Crisp vermicelli, but not greasy at all. Combine that with a butter sauce and you're set. Good for 2 to 4 to share, must try!
