Close to Mayflower MRT Station you can find this ice cream cafe that may look small from outside but they actually have enough seats inside.

They mentioned the strawberry cheesecake is one of the popular item and I could agree with it. Taste creamy and you could find some real strawberry pieces inside.

With the phased opening of Thomson-East Coast Line, it would be easier to explore humble neighbourhood eateries like Desert Dessert which was located near Mayflower MRT Station.

It was quite a safe choice to order their Belgian Waffle (S$5.50), as it turned out that the waffle was crispy on the outside but also sufficiently airy inside. It also took quite a while before the waffles soften from the melted gelato, so I supposed the waffle mix was done right.

An additional scoop of Premium Gelato would cost S$4.00 each. I would agree with past review that the Pistachio flavour was significantly nuttier than others of such, and I thought this was just on point. Their Red Wine Belgian Choco was also robust and smooth, and as much as it was not as bitter as dark chocolate, there was quite a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness: slightly acquired but also on the sweet side.

Interestingly, given the simple set-up of the partitioned shop space, there wasn’t any lingering smell of baking grease, unlike some of the other cafés with open-concept kitchens.

Went for a double scoop of pistachio and honeycomb on top of our waffle. Unfortunately thought the ice creams were too sweet and icy for our liking, though the waffle was done fragrant with a likable crisp. Service was friendly too. Ice creams on waffles are $3 per scoop and $4 per scoop for premium flavours. They do have other interesting dessert options, like croffles and bingsu.

Hybrid of a Croissant & Waffle: Very light n fluffy base unlike the traditional waffle, love it!!!🥰 Texture of croissant but looks of a waffle~ Cream cheese has that right texture and taste as well.

Oreo Bing-su (S: $7.50, L: $11.90)
Honestly came for the Speculoos bingsu, but it was sadly sold out that day. Really surprised by the huge portion, esp for the large one. Their shaved ice was really soft, but it was just lacking the milky flavour I was looking out for. Also didn't strike me as Oreo, but closer to cheap choc kind of flavour, although I really wouldn't mind heading back to try their Speculoos considering the huge portion and price.
