Whether you’re here for late night eats or for a banana leaf rice lunch, this mamak-restaurant in Bangsar has it all. In the day, customers flock upstairs for air-conditioning and Devi's famed Banana Leaf Rice (RM7.50) — best paired with Devi’s Chicken Sambal (RM12). When the curry bucket reaches your table, always go with the robust crab curry, banjir-style. Come suppertime, the simple and tasty Maggi Goreng (from RM6) and Cheese Naan (from RM7) will satisfy.

I find it very reasonable to eat here. Generous portion of food, tasted nice, and it is not over priced. You need more reason? It is located in the heart of Bangsar, the famous atas street of Telawi. Price: RM8.20, Food: 7/10

Merry-making in Bangsar's many bars comes with a convenient spot to convene after: Devi's Corner. The almost always busy-mamak is a master of many, including their famed Banana Leaf Rice (RM7.50) with crab curry, Roti Canai (RM1.60) and a butter-loaded Garlic Cheese Naan (RM6) with Tandoori Chicken (RM8.50) to sate comfort food cravings. It was only of late that we also discovered their excellent Mee Goreng Mamak (RM4.50), flavour-packed yellow noodles fried with the same trimmings one would find in rojak — fried tofu, dough fritters and beansprouts. Wash supper down with a glass of Teh Tarik (RM1.60) to fuel you through the weekend night out!
Avg price per person: RM15

Located at No.14, Jalan Telawi 4, Bangsar Baru just opposite Bangsar Village. Accompanied my friend for lunch today but was shock to have a sumptuous lunch, love the crab curry and lamb veruval. Pleasantly surprised that Devi's corner had an upstairs restaurant that served Banana Leaf Rice. Price is about RM20/person. Please park your car in Bangsar Village. Overall rating 8.5/10.

Devi's Corner on Jalan Telawi 2 is your go-to joint for a hearty banana leaf lunch, or to quell late night hunger pangs after a couple of drinks. In the day, don’t miss out on the robust flavours of the Banana Leaf Rice (RM7) served with four vegetable dishes, spice-laced rasam and papadam. When asked for your choice of curry or dhal, make sure to spew the magic words — crab curry. It comes laced with a rich, fragrant gravy to accompany your rice. Supper calls for Devi’s Roti Canai (RM1.70) with sambal and dhal, or a sinfully delicious Garlic Cheese Naan (RM5).

Done with work and looking for somewhere to eat without burning a hole in your wallet? Devi’s Corner is just the place you need for a mamak session with your buddies. You cannot go wrong with the Roti Canai or Maggi Goreng paired with a Teh O Ais Limau to end the night. If you’re up for Banana Leaf Rice (RM7) or if you need to fix an urgent curry craving, this is also another place in Bangsar that serves this local favourite!
