From the Burpple community

Fluffy buns, generous amount of lava, creative creations (flavour combinations eg. Mentaiko shrimp dumpling, & design eg. La bi xiao Xin) 👍🏻

A few of the Burpplers at the #Eatup who have visited Dim Sum Haus raved about their Poppin' Lychee Balls, and got the rest of us rather excited about it.

I took a double take when the dish was served as it actually looks like the actual fruit itself! The dish itself was crunchy on the outside and sweet and juicy on the inside. You can taste both the natural sweetness of the shrimp meat and the floral acidic notes of the lychee fruit.

On a whole, Dim Sum Haus is a good casual spot for dim sum. I will however recommend sticking to their dim sum especially their 'more innovative' ones which were surprisingly more tasty than gimmicky. Their mains though were rather lacklustre and I would probably give them a miss.

As usual, a big thank you to the folks at #Burpple and Dim Sum Haus for hosting us for the #Eatup!

The crispy mee suah kueh with Chinese sausage is one of Dim Sum Haus' signature items.

If I am not mistaken, this dish is a 'zhnged' version of carrot cake with chinese sausage. The carrot cake is sandwiched between two layers of mee suah and then deep fried to give it an extra crispy mee suah 'skin' whilst preserving the soft and moist carrot cake.

The folks at Dim Sum Haus were beyond generous so I will just be focusing on the dishes that I enjoy and will re-order.

For their crispy shrimp fritters with mango sauce, the shrimps were juicy and bouncy whilst the batter was airy and crisp. Paired with the sweet mango sauce, this was really tasty!

Dim Sum Haus is a casual dim sum eatery located on the ground floor of a shophouse in Jalan Besar.

Earlier this year, they very kindly hosted a #Burpple #Eatup for us, featuring their special CNY menu.

As it is the rabbit year, the CNY menu finished with a special Ong Ong Rabbit pudding dessert which was so adorably cute that we found it hard to sink our teeth into them!

Take note: Dim Sum Haus at 57 Jalan Besar will be temporarily closed for renovation from 27th February to 19th March 2023.

One dish that will never go wrong at any dim sum place are their Chee Cheong Fun, and it is no different here at Dim Sum Haus.

The Steam Rice Rolls were silky smooth and the crispy shrimp with the CCF combination just goes so well together. Another must try dish here at Dim Sum Haus.

Dim Sum Haus opens till 5.30am daily, except on Mondays, so this is an excellent late night supper spot.

Food here at Dim Sum Haus is rather affordable as well, and staff here are nice and friendly.
