Ordered a basic Yu sheng for CNY lunch for 3. There are options to add on more ingredients like abalone or salmon but we didn’t choose to do so. Asked for less oil to be poured and the staff gladly obliged. While not a visually stunning Yu sheng, I think it had a good amount of pickled veg and fresh veg. What I liked the most was the fried yam sticks that added a satisfying crunch! What’s unique about their Yu sheng is the addition of chestnuts which I don’t usually see in other restaurant Yu shengs. I don’t think it added much to the taste but it was an interesting addition nonetheless!

Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng - $32.80

Pretty arrangement of standard yu sheng ingredients that’s fresh and crunchy in every bite. My favourite got to be Din Tai Fung unique crispy yam strips! It’s so fragrant and crispy. They offer vegetarian yu sheng as well

The small version of the Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng (S$32.80) might have lost its appeal because of the price tag, but I really liked having this one every year because of the super-finely shredded vegetables and the crunchy yam strips. The latter added a nice fragrance touch to the festive treat, nice enough for me to willingly ditch the golden crackers for this.
The small plate could serve 2 to 3 persons.

😍 Crunchy Mini Cucumber in Spicy Sauce ($4.80) 🥒
Fragrant Pork with Crushed Garlic ($8.30) 🐖
Extremely enjoyable when shared with like-minded kaki who is also a lover for cucumber, garlic & food 😘
I must say the sweetness of the thinly sliced pork, the shiokness from the garlic & the crunchiness of the cucumbers really really made our Friday 😍😍 #burpple
After queueing some time we loaded the table with Dumplings, not to be disappointed by our Taiwanese friends!
