ICYMI: DIN by Din Tai Fung is the Muslim-friendly brainchild by the popular dim sum chain. A must-have is the Chicken Xiao Long Bao (RM17) that sees steamed dumplings filled with savoury broth and juicy chicken meat. For the main event, go for the Chicken Chop Fried Rice (RM28.30) which sees fragrant rice topped with crispy fried chicken fillet – great for solo meals. Pro tip: Have your rice with a dollop of chilli oil for more oomph! On rainy days, Burppler Adlin Sarim is a big fan of the Hot & Sour Noodle Soup (RM22.60) sporting sweet-spicy flavours that are sure to keep your tummy warm. P.s Do date nights right at the KLCC outlet alongside a gorgeous view of the city.
*Pork-free

Can’t go wrong with fried chicken and rice and this halal version is just as yum. Juicy chicken and love the batter – kinda reminds me of Shihlin’s chicken lol. Found the rice a little oily but still flavourful. Must eat with the sambal!

Think the usual bao but with chicken instead. Still flavourful, but just wish the soup was piping hot!

Soft bun filled with chicken and mushroom steamed to almost perfection (wished it was a little softer).

You know the drill. Your basic Xiao long bao, but chicken. Bite-sized dumplings filled with chicken broth and juicy meat.
But I do wish the soup was piping hot instead!

Halal. Din Tai Fung. You heard me right.
I was 23 of age when I found out DTF had a pork free twin sister, so I decided to try it out.
Chicken chop reminded me of Shihlin’s XXL Chicken, in a good way!
Fried rice is a little too wet and could use a bit more seasoning. Definitely eat your rice with the chilli oil! It helps accentuate the flavour.
