Dark Chocolate Sundae ($14) (5/5)

my sister and I was just getting full after eating sundae and waffles finish. I didn't expected that most of people order it for after meals but it's just worth it to get it and share with your friend and family. I really enjoy rich flavour for dark chocolate but its so thick until I felt bloated. Waffles was quite crispy so complemented with dark chocolate sundae.

I’m not a big fan of chocolate, but the Dark Chocolate Sundae ($14) with Buttermilk Waffle ($5) is surprisingly good. The dark chocolate ice cream is not overly sweet, and the flavours are well-balanced by the zingy passionfruit curd and raspberry coulis, which add a streak of citrusy freshness to the dessert. The crunch from the hazelnut and chocolate crumb complements the velvety texture of the dark chocolate ice cream. The buttermilk waffle is crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. A perfect treat for the weekends💁🏻‍♀️

[$14 + $5 for the waffles]
This is a HUGE portion of dessert for 1 person, especially after a meal, would recommend sharing with another.
I would recommend spending an extra $5 for the waffles, not only on this dessert but on the rest.
Just on it's own, it is already a good waffle, slightly crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside, it has a slight sweet taste even without the ice-cream.

While the initial idea of consuming dark chocolate ice-cream, along with the brownies was that it would be really rich, which would eventually cause me to be unable to eat anymore, the sweet and sour tastes from the raspberry and passionfruit sauces, along with a crunchy and sweet texture from the honeycomb and crumbs did not cause the dark chocolate taste overly rich.

p.s. would recommend their white cold brew coffee [$8] especially for those who dislike a strong and bitter taste of coffee

Waffle is surprisingly good - better than all other recent ones I’ve tried!!

Probably one of the most satisfying desserts I’ve eaten so far! Not only because of it’s gorgeous visuals and extensive toppings, the unique yet delicious combination just makes the calories all worth while! The ice cream isn’t very sweet and there’s a thin waffle coated with banana like syrup placed right below it to prevent the buttermilk waffle from turning soggy. The edible flowers taste pretty good as well. An extremely subtle floral taste is detected as the relatively strong flavoured dark chocolate ice cream melts in the mouth. The warm crispy yet soft waffle compliments the dish so well and especially with rum sauce! Would be great if a generous portion of sauce is given instead.

Personally, I felt the popping candy could be done away with as the other elements are good enough to elevate the entire experience. Instead, improving on the texture of brownies would be a better option as it’s dry and not chewy (putting for the sake of decoration?..).

P.S. @ThePopulusCafe Sundaes are only available from 11:30am onwards.
