Toasted Banana Bread

This was a lovely way to end our meal. The banana bread was warm and moist, paired excellently with the crunchy macadamia nuts and caramelised banana slices. Perfect for the sweet tooth’s out there.

A pricey dessert, but worth a try at least once - you’re really paying for the quality.

It seems like this dessert was really popular. A savoury banana cake topped with banana cuts and nuts. Appetite for after meal. $15++

Banana bread, caramelised bananas, macadamia nuts and housemade vanilla yogurt.

I used to loveeee this. I don’t think the taste has changed but maybe mine has. The banana bread goes well with the yogurt and butterscotch-like sauce. It taste good when you get all the components together in every bite, with the nuts providing a nice crunch.

However, I would not say the banana bread itself is a good one. On its own it’s actually quite bland and not banana-ey enough. But the dish as a whole works and it’s a good dish. I just don’t see myself paying $17.65 nett for it again. I’d rather get their sticky date pudding.

Get this toasted banana bread ($15++) and red berries milkshake ($10++) from the lokal! The banana bread was a dense cake, with macademia nuts, caramelised bananas and drenched in a yoghurt sauce! (Note that no straws are provided here, bring your own if you need it!) #burpple #burpplesg #thelokal #shopbackgo #shopbacksg #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #vscofoodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #foodtrails #sgfoodies #sgeats

Was recommended for the toasted banana bread so decided to give it a try. Definitely something to go for if you like banana bread. The homemade vanilla yogurt, the orange and lime zest gives a sense of sourness to the dish, so it is not overly sweet after all. I like the toasted macadamia nuts on top which adds more flavour and a bit of crunchiness to the whole dish. The flat white ($5) with soy milk ($1) is good too - it is just right and not too bitter for my liking.

Tbh...how do you justify spending $16 on mediocre banana bread??

Toasted banana bread-a bit mushy, strong bamana taste, (just my preference) did not really go well with yoghurt frostinflg (15) 3.5/5

If you are craving for a breakfast that satisfy your sweet tooth, this is recommended! Vanilla yoghurt goes well with the banana bread😋
