Lemon curd sour as life. I love these balls. You can’t even fill a thing after you’ve had them all (pun very intended). .

Lolla is the place we point our friends to for good food — which is why we think every couple should make a pilgrimage here at least once in their relationship. Expect hearty and downright delicious small plates that are great for sharing with your beau. Apart from some of the best-selling dinner items like the Sourdough ($4) with Kombu Butter ($7) that are also available at brunch, there are a few new additions like the Stuffed Squid ($26) and the Crab Lasagna ($29) that you must order. The latter is packed full of luscious crabmeat and paired with a delectable bechamel sauce, a dish Burpple Tastemaker Michelle Kayla Tey says is "bound to leave you sighing with contentment". If the wallet is willing, order the Doughnuts with Lemon Curd ($12) or the Steamed Dark Chocolate Pudding ($15) for a luxurious ending.
Avg Price: $70 per couple

Doughnuts with lemon custard (S$12) is the best dessert and I'll visit more in the future for other dishes. The workers were friendly and explained about menu precisely well.
But.. BUT...these pillowy balls with a fluffy and feathery texture (like choux) really worth the calories. #MissNeverfull_SG
I had to stop myself coz it's addicting. These deep fried goodness dipped in tangy, buttery and with just the right sweetness is indulgent. I'd come back for more when I'm in the area.

My friends, however, did find the pudding to be too salty and 'gelat'. The donuts had a thin perfectly fried crust enveloping a molten custard-like centre, so good even without the tart lemon curd dip. This iberico pork collar was pretty good too, even though pork is seldom cooked medium rare, but the meat was succulent with a nice char surrounding it. My friends liked the tomato salad as well, but were disappointed by the less than stellar scrambled eggs. #Burpple
It's been a while but this dessert is as heavenly as I remember. Made only when you order, the donuts are served hot. Amazingly, they are as soft, light and fluffy as balls of cloud. A dab of that lovely lemon curd lifted them to something even more.
Nothing beats having doughnuts made fresh upon order. These boast a lovely light crunch on the outside and a light-as-air centre. A generous dollop of the zesty lemon curd completes the gastronomic trip-out.
