Butter Poached Cod Rice Bowl (Lunch)

$18.00 Β· 24 Reviews

You can switch the rice up to quinoa but really lets talk about these ethereal pieces of cod and how it was topped with silky wakame, oven roasted tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, pickled lotus roots, wasabi sprouts and a wobbly soft centred egg who's yolk lazily oozes out when pricked. Trust me, waiting for my date’s rice bowl to arrive was torture....😭 (7.4/10)

$18. Healthy and colorful rice bowl; I liked how all the different components of the dish came together. Would be better if the egg were warm. But an enjoyable lunch nonetheless.

A hearty meal with my favourite melt in your mouth Butter Poached Cod! 😍

In the pic: Rendang Beef $16/ Braised Pork Belly $16/ Cold Somen $15/ Buttered Poached Cod Fish $18/ Miso Aubergine $12

The portion of the rice bowl is just right and the price is definitely worth it for the quality of food. I will be back to try the rest of the lunch menu!

Butter Cod ($18++) and Braised Pork ($16++) Rice Bowl. Definitely not the cheapest rice bowl (if you consider cai fan) but it is worth every single cent of yours. Each rice bowl comes with a fair amount of wasabi sprouts, grilled tomatoes, pickled lotus roots and a soft centred egg. Each ingredient had its own unique taste which adds a different layer to each bite taken. The main highlight was none other than the butter cod that comes so soft that it seemingly melt in my mouth. Definitely will be back here again to try their other rice bowls.

Pictured are the Butter Poached Cod ($18) and the Braised Pork Belly ($16). We both preferred the cod better with its melt-in-mouth texture while the pork belly seems to have a bad day with its slightly tougher bite. Every bowl are stuffed with heaps of wasabi spouts, seaweed, mushrooms, pickled lotus roots, baked tomatoes and that oh so flowy ramen egg!

One of the best rendition of Asian fusion I've ever tried! The dish was presented so nicely. One can tell they handle their bowls with such pride and care when each individual bowls came out. The cod is fresh and breaks apart with a spoon, the combination of mushrooms, veg around it was well thought out.

Was expecting it to "wow". Alas...cod being cod always taste nice. Disappointingly, everything in the bowl was cold...not even lukewarm. Egg felt as if it just came out from the fridge. Rice was not steaming hot and everything else felt just like a cold appetiser. My 2nd time there and 2nd time letdown. Maybe 3rd time's a charm?πŸ˜” #cod #vegetables #fusion #modsin #burpple #opensnapeats #sgfoodie #foodiesg #i8mondays #8dayseat #bloggerssg @maymaysg
