Custard was absolutely creamy and yum, extremely satisfied with the egg tarts here! Definitely worth my calories.

i love how the bolo is crisp and sweet, which provides varying texture w the fluffy bun + sweet and savoury pork!! slightly fatty but still good. m more of a biscuity base egg tart person as opposed to flakey like this, but the egg custard is the perfectly silky smooth and delicious i enjoy it nonetheless

The egg tart ($2.20) was pretty flakey and good. It still gets sold out from time to time so it’s good to check if they still have them.

But absolutely worth it. At least, once a year anyway. Ordered one for takeaway as their queue was long (as usual!), got it fresh from the oven. Egg custard still jiggles and while the pastry doesn't look like it, it's actually very light and flaky!

Love the crumbly crust and wobbly fillings.

Shared this box of joy with my family and they love it a lot! 😍

Honolulu Cafe is well known in Hong Kong for its egg tarts with flaky pastry. Though personally I am not a egg tart lover yet I like their egg tart and i dont fee that it is jelat after eating the whole egg tart for breakfast. 📍 Honolulu Cafe

This is how you picture a perfect steal at $7.

3 slices of thick, warm-pressed toasts alternately sandwiched with fried luncheon meat, cheese and ham on the first layer; and a substantial thick portion of silky scrambled egg with tomato sauce drenched cabbage and tomato slices on another, this dish will satiate any remnant hunger pangs you may still have if you’re only consuming small bites like egg tarts alongside. Everything came together perfectly, and it was hot as there was smoke wafting out of every bite. Probably the first time I’ve had hot club sandwich as this dish tends to be served chilled. But this gets as good as it can get. Ignore the canned cocktail salad, however.

Sufficing as a sharing portion or as a main dish on its own, this is a must order for those who love their sandwiches and toast. I’d even go further to say, get this instead of the ‘signature’ pork chop sandwich.

At $1.90 per piece, I thought these egg tarts were among one of the best I’ve ever had in Singapore. Filled to the brim, served piping hot (read again: H O T) with smoke wafting out upon the first bite, it was impossible to not fall into eggy pastry kingdom at that point.

The egg custard had such amazing consistency - thick, strong eggy taste (unlike so many diluted ones out there), wobbly and what really impressed me was it’s temperature. I dare say I’ve never eaten H O T egg tarts in Singapore as I used to fathom that egg tarts must be cooled to certain temperatures upon exit from the oven to allow the custard to set. But Honolulu has definitely proved me wrong. The nascent smoke waves drifting out from the first bite caught me pleasantly aback, and the portion was definitely good, as the buttery pastry shells were filled to the brim (and not mid-filled, which is sadly, a common scene today).

P.S. Request for it to be warmed before serving, and the servers will gladly warm it for you in an oven (if it’s not already warm).

We also got the Yuan-Yang ($3.30), a mixture of coffee and tea. Smooth, creamy, rich, mildly-bitter, fragrant all condensed into a singular porcelain cup, this beverage definitely elevated the sensorial pleasure accompanying the myriad of palatable delights.
