Wilder's Beef Burger

4 Reviews

This burger has a lovely cranberry butter spread under the top bun and a bed of melted mozzarella on the bottom bun--sandwiched in between is this gorgeous meat patty with bacon. Life is good😙

A newly opened halal cafe. Easy to locate, a street down from Zam Zam.
Cozy setting. Pleasant service with polite & enthusiastic staff. Prompt replies on enquiries via whatsapp. Filtered water provided.

A menu with limited selections is understandable nowadays, especially for cafes which intend to create its own in-house specialties for product differentiation. However, much displeasure when told that several of it's main items are unavailable due to stock unavailability (Not sold out) when it has been months since its opening. Iced Mocha was not even available. It was only 6+pm. A couple that came after us were seen leaving upon seated. Eventually, settled for what's left on the menu.

1. Wilder's beef burger w/ homemade buns & taters ($14)
🌕🌕🌕
- Well presented
- Soft tasty buns
- Cheesy bottom
- Juicy beef patty but extremely lack of flavour. Bland, especially when it's put together with ham and cheese.

2. Old-fashion truffle fries ($11)
🌕🌕🌕
- Crunchy
- Not too oily
- Parmesan cheese didn't made it any much special or value for money.

3. Iced Lychee Mojito ($7)
🌕🌕🌕
- Just a fizzy drink with seedless lychees

Cafe do not offer sauces as staff explained that they want diners to indulge in it's items' original taste. We did and believed that the food would have tasted much better with sauces.

Overall: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑
Total bill: $32
Personal Verdict: Nothing to shout about. Considerations given since being new on the block. Definitely much to work on to impress new patrons with their food, especially with stiff competitions just around the corner. Will revisit, but not any time soon.
*Advisable to call and enquire on menu items availability.
Reservations possible, for 4 or more diners.

I loved the soft, homemade buns (made to a limited number/day) and juicy, tender beef patty.
I swore it squirted as I cut into the beef lol.
A layer of melted cheese hidden beneath the meat stack really did it for me.
Try out Wilder if you're in the Kampong Glam area 😃
