the stars of Sin Lee Foods, the Hand-cut Sweet Potato Fries that comes with a salted duck egg dip(which we ask for more) & Beef and Grains, a hearty portion of the seared beef striploin resting on a bed of sauteed rice shaped pasta(orzo), topped with a fried runny hen's egg!

First visit and frankly we won't be back. We came with high expections and left with unhappy tummies.
The spam fries tasted dry and bland. The beef and grains dish....tasted mediocre with the beef being too chewy and way too soft. The pork chop was tender but the sauce is simply too sweet to stomach. With the high price tag per dish, we were expecting more but unfortunately it failed our tummies. Overated food.

Was a little afraid of being disappointed (as with many highly raved about dishes), but the flavour combination turned out to be fantastic. This beef and grains was more akin to a porridge, with pasta instead of rice. Two big peeves: first I would've liked a little more bite in the orzo, cause the whole dish was all too chewy and soft; secondly, I have a serious issue with places that don't serve water. Seriously is it that hard to fill a jug with tap water?

After doing some research, we ordered the dishes that garnered many positive reviews. It was like going on a roller-coaster ride whereby our expectations fall flat with disappointment. The soft shell crab with mantou was just so-so while the waffles was hard and lukewarm. The most difficult to eat out of the lot was the beef and grains as the shoyu sauce was too salty. The only saving grace was the chicken and salted egg sweet potato fries. I will not make the long trip down to this place again.

Awesome beef grains! The beef is so tender and juicy while the chicken waffle is not really my favourite

Japanese influenced dish I suppose didn't really enjoy my main, rather pricy honestly. Overall 6/10 my partner gave it a 5/10

We started our long weekend with the long trip down to Sin Lee Foods with high expectations. After doing some research, we ordered the dishes that garnered many positive reviews. Hearty bests describe this dish. A tender slab of sirloin (cooked around medium rare) on top of wet grains (which are actually orzo pasta) makes for a really satisfying plate of nosh. Topped off with a runny fried egg, this dish is one of the stand-outs at Sin Lee. However, it can get a little too "gelat" and is quite filling. But you get more bang for your buck since it costs $24. I would say it's worth it though, for the flavour and satisfaction you get after.
