The texture of the rainbow cheesecake was amazing. It's not too sweet so those dessert-haters (I don't even know why y'all exist?!) could take a try at this. The gula melaka cake was crunchy on the top layer and nice and soft inside. DELISH 👌🏼
Love how the sweetness of the gula melaka doesn't over power the cheesecake . Would definitely come back to try more cakes .

Many have recommended the must-order Rainbow Cheesecake ($7.50) from Tian Kee & Co. However, do you know that the Gula Melaka Cheesecake ($6.50) is as nice or tastes even better? By a stroke of luck, we ordered it and it blew the 3 of us away. The caramelized gula melaka at the top is the perfect sweetness counter to the cheesy filling. I am literally dreaming and salivating over it now from this post.

Love the laidback feel here; it's like chilling in my neighbourhood coffee shop except it's not my neighbourhood.
Try their signature Nuts About U, a winning combination of espresso cubes, Nutella, and milk for a bittersweet edginess. Best paired with their smooth cheesecakes; they have interesting ones such as Yuan Yang, Rainbow, and the popular Gula Melaka, which we liked for its beautifully caramelised flavour and restrained sweetness level.
Throwback to many weeks ago when we went on our first food trail around the East. Our second stop of the day was to Tian Kee & Co and all of us unanimously agreed that the Gula Melaka Cheesecake ($6.50) was awesome and we went crazy over Nuts About U ($7, Nutella and espresso ice cubes with fresh milk), as two of us tried in vain to attempt a pouring shot.
I guess it's about time to do a second food trail and this time round it's going to be a hawkerpedia x hawkerhopping concept whereby we hunt down memorable hawker stalls in Singapore. Read so many raving reviews about the cheesecake and boy was I not disappointed! The cheesecake is so light it dances on your palate. Light but still so full of flavour! The gula melaka wasn't heavy which is a good thing because sometimes it can really overwhelm, providing just a touch of sugar to break the monotony of eating cheesecake. Only thing bad was the bland tasting crust. Their espresso was a bit bitter and meh.
4 munchies: Glad to have made my first visit with fellow Burpple Tastemakers Julius and Raine. Items to order are Nuts About U (Nutella & Espresso Ice Cubes) and Gula Melaka Cheesecake. Still feeling pretty bummed that they ran out of Yuan Yang Cheesecake, but that'd be a perfect reason to make my second visit soon!
