Sea Salt Chocolate Tart

$6.50 ยท 7 Reviews

Sweet and chocolatey filling with hint of sea salt. The thin tart base added a slight crunch to the dessert. Would definitely love to have more sea salt taste and lesser sweetness from the chocolate filling.

loved the vintage singaporean decor so much! we had an assortment of tarts.

1. sea-salt caramel chocolate tart (big one) - it tasted exactly like its name ๐Ÿ˜‚ was good!
2. mini banoffee (basically chocolate & banana with cream), lemon cream, mixed berries & sea-salt chocolate tart. they also tasted like their name LOL but the tart base was buttery & crispy enough, & the fillings werent too sweet which made for a light & satisfactory dessert.

through our journey of finding this place, we discovered so many restaurants/cafรฉs along this stretch that looked so good/were quite well-known & there was even an okonomiyaki restaurant beside the cafรฉ flag white :o we were so shook & canโ€™t wait to eat there again (เน‘>โ—ก

Sea salt cane through for the chocolate tart but the passionfruit meringue lacked tartness in the curd

Wow, talk about Smooth Sailing. I'm talking about Carpenter and Cook's Passion Fruit Meringue Tart (๐Ÿ’ตS$6.80) so put aside whatever thoughts you have, you Dirty Little Miserable F*ck. ๐Ÿฎ

Indeed it is Smooth, Creamy, Sweet & Tangy. It ain't easy finding a Good (some say Perfect) partner that compliment each other like Sweetness & Tartness. ๐Ÿ˜‹(well if you know what I mean)

ACAMASTIPS๐Ÿ’ฎ: Other than the Passion Fruit Meringue Tart, you can try: Sea Salt Chocolate Tart, Lemon Tart, Lemon Drizzle Loaf, Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart (Avg Price ๐Ÿ’ตS$6) or just ask the Nice Folks working there. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป

A cosy getaway to chill and unwind, this bakery is but a 5min walk from Beauty World MRT. The croissant and quiche were average at best, seeing that they were blasted by the microwave. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜• The sea salt was unevenly distributed throughout the chocolate tart.๐Ÿ‘Ž It would have otherwise been delicious. ๐Ÿ˜ข the lemon meringue on the other hand was heavenly. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Would definitely recommend the lemon meringue. Lastly, the staff was friendly and helpful, ๐Ÿ‘ making my experience a pleasant one.
