Lavender Latte

$5.50 Ā· 72 Reviews

Portion was quite big, could share with another person. Food was great and I love the fish & Chip sauce.

I am not a fan of coffee but this cup of lavender latte caught my eyes when I was browsing through the app. The combination of espresso, milk and lavender gives out a cup of lavender infused latte. The bits of lavender flowers also adds to the floral notes. I find the coffee strength just nice for someone like me who doesn'tĀ take a lot of coffee 怋$5.50

My mum and I visited this vintage looking cafe quietly tucked away behind tall plants along the street this afternoon for lunch! We ordered the Bagel Set ($14.50), Truffle Mushroom Pasta ($16.90) and 1 hot + iced lavender latte ($7.50) under Burppleā€™s 1 for 1! Apart from the tasty food, they dont charge for service and even provided free wifi.
The Bagel Set came with a cinnamon-raisin bagel (not plain YES!) which complemented the cream cheese well~ smoked salmon was also fresh and you can choose to add on other ingredients such as avocados if youre looking for something extra.
As for the truffle mushroom pasta, the truffle taste was evident enough which really brought out the flavour of the cream and the dish as a whole!
Lastly, both the hot and iced lavender latte had a strong lavender taste on top of the coffee, which came as a surprise to me as the reviews said the iced one didnt have much lavender taste.
Overall, an enjoyable experience and i would definitely come back again for the unique coffee & decent food!

Great food, would love to return again!

This is a hidden find and I'm glad I came down for this. The salmon fillet ($19.90 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) was really fresh and well cooked. Really appreciated the crispy skin, although I wasn't too used to the tangy sauce.

The truffle mushroom pasta ($16.90 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) had a good amount of truffle taste and the mushrooms were really well sautƩed.

Their famous iced lavender latte ($7.50 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) was a pleasant surprise, as the floral note really complemented the coffee well.

A great find! Their steaks look so good honestly, will be back for them!

Very rich flavoured salmon with crispy skin, just the way I like it. Wasn't a very big fan of the lemon butter, but overall, still a delicious dish all-round.

Paired it with the lavender latte, which has had many good reviews on this app. Did not disappoint!

Amazing deal with burpple beyond!!! Just $13 per pax for a main and drink!

Bagel set ($14) came with a cinnamon raisin bagel (served warm, crispy on the outside and dense inside!), 3 slices of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a side serving of salad - beef/lamb sausage were an add on for $4. I like how each portion were just right for me to construct each mouthful of different sides. Only thing was I thought the sausage had a overly strong beefy smell... but the lamb sausage was fine.

Location wise, itā€™s just a short walk away from Lavendar mrt station. Cafe has free wifi too so we saw people doing work here too.

This comes to a total bill of S$29! Ordered myself a lamb rib and my hubs striploin. Both of us ordered the mocha (should have ordered the lavender latte suggested šŸ¤£).

It was such a good deal! The food was awesome. Definitely return again! We ā™” the striploin. And next time will try the lavender latte.

Restuarant was spacious and clean. Nice ambience to chill. Staff was friendly & welcoming as well!

A Muslim-owned cafe with great lavender latte which is pretty hard to find in Singapore, their food was pretty decent too.

Read on Burpple that this is the recommended drink so I decided to give it a try as part of my burpple deal. Noted that the beans are supplied from Allpress Expresso when I made my order.p

Hot lavender latte (single shot) is usually served slightly sweetened and is priced at $5.50 I had requested for mine to be unsweetened as Iā€™m not a fan of sweetened coffee. The staff recommended for me to opt for the slightly sweetened for the fullest flavor and satisfaction and offered to put the sugar syrup on the side for me if I decided to try it later. It was additional effort on his team to clean up and I appreciated it very much. Came across some reviews saying that the coffee strength is extremely weak and decided that Iā€™d add an extra shot (+$0.40) to try to counter that. Total cost adds up to $5.90 for a cuppa double shot hot lavender latte.

My boyfriend, not a fan of coffee, ordered an iced lavender latte (double shot) as the burpple deal limits the drink selection to coffee. Like its unchilled sibling, it comes sweetened and is priced at $7.50.

The hot lavender coffee was served warm, topped with some purple lavender flowers against the brown and whites of the milk coffee, on a wooden coaster with ā€œBravery x Allpressā€ carved onto it. A small metal pitcher of sugar syrup and a metal spoon accompanied my cup of latte. Lavender smell was pretty strong at first whiff but faded off later on. Temperature of the drink was way cooler than that which lattes are usually served at and itā€™s also not what the way Iā€™d liked it to be. As mentioned in other reviews, the coffee in the drink was almost undetectable (even with the additional shot I had requested) and it became underwhelming for me. The lavender flavor paired well with the milk but I would choose to go without the lavender next time in order to have a higher chance at tasting the coffee hints. I did eventually try the slightly sweetened version at half point mark but it didnā€™t help the drink in meeting my expectations. Again, I do appreciate the staffā€™s gesture of providing alternatives and recommendations.

Iced lavender latte was served in a tall slim glass with a black plastic straw topped with purple flowers as well. Taste was likened to the warmer sibling. Definitely not a pick me up kind of drink. My boyfriend didnā€™t enjoy it very much as well. Iā€™d think that the taste and enjoyment of this drink would vary across the coffee and non coffee drinkers depending on their preference of lavender.

Previous experience of Allpress expresso beans m at ā€œBaker & Cookā€ had me trying the drink at this cafe with a certain expectation. Perhaps it would have been different had I not came with that experience.

Will recommend to increase the number of shots by 2 or 3 times if you would like to try the drink! May come back to try the normal flat white with 2-3 additional shots.
