Phat Thai

RM8.80 · 3 Reviews

It’s been so long that I forgot the price of this plate of pad Thai. I believe it was less than RM 10. It’s the simplest plate yet satisfying. I opted for no vegetables so it’s a little boring. But it’s definitely my go-to place whenever I want a simple & cheap plate of pad Thai.

Mr Tuk Tuk serves Thai street food at affordable price in a comfortable setting. Choose from the ala carte menu (RM8.80-RM12.80), Thai special platter (RM23.80) or the set menu (RM17.80). I would recommend the set menu as you get to try a couple of different items or the platter for sharing.

Stir fry rice noodle with squid, prawns and egg. It wasn't amazing, but for good enough for the price.

The latest queue-worthy attraction in Sunway Pyramid, Mr. Tuk Tuk hits the spot with super satisfying Thai dishes that barely surpass the RM10 mark. Swing by with a spice-loving friend to share an 'en-thai-cing' Tom Yam Seafood (RM11.80) — aromatic, sour-spicy soup chock-full of prawns, mussels and fish. For RM8.80, their rendition of Phad Thai arrives sprucely wrapped in an omelette, which opens to a tantalising trove of fried flat noodles. Be sure to reach for the condiments basket and customise your noodles with a generous sprinkles of chili powder and crushed peanuts. Their pre-packed Mango Sticky Rice (RM7.80) is laid temptingly on the counter so allow yourself some indulgence by taking a box home (or back to the office) for tea!
