ASTOUNDING. Tapioca was so on point. I can't imagine the texture being better than this. Banana was also superb, with a nice slight bite and so much flavour. Much love for this little ball of happiness. It's unbelievable how something so seemingly simple can impress so much
Made up of mostly carbs and at an average price of $2 each, they're not the most affordable treats to enjoy on a daily basis but I can be rest assured that I get quality pieces everytime. Meeting a friend for lunch in the area but knowing that I have to go past Cavan Road meant I must have a Kueh before anything. The Kueh Salat is pretty amazing but this is something that I would find myself getting again in subsequent visits as well — the tapioca was so soft, chewy and bouncy — very qq without the need to chew long for. Inside, the bananas are a little bit clustered towards the other side, but they added a good amount of sweetness that is pretty balanced and adds flavour to the Kueh. Freshly grated coconut was undoubtedly fresh and flavourful. One of the places I would always look forward to visit when I am around Jalan Besar.
