Botanist serves a hearty breakfast at a very very reasonable price. This came at 23 bucks(no GST or service charge) and it even came with a full small bottle of jam. Enjoyed the scrambled eggs and toast but felt that the rest was so so. The bacon was quite salty for me. Having said that I would return to botanist for the portions and reasonable price.

Service was good but another point they could improve on was the timing they served the food. All our mains and brioche came at around same time (when we intended for the brioche to be dessert since it came with ice cream) so could have timed it to come a little later.

Creatively named, the Botanist Breakfast ($23) comes with every imaginable breakfast item. Toast, grilled corn, juicy fried sausages, creamy avo, hash browns, baked beans, cherry tomatoes, thick slabs of salty bacon, sautéed mushroom and eggs the way you like. Unhealthy? Yes but the happiness more than makes up for it. •

⚖️: Will def return! It gets super crowded on weekends so plan accordingly. Finish the experience with a food coma fuelled traipse to Apiary for life changing ice cream.

Weekend is almost here! When in doubt, indulge in this classic where you get your egg fix (scramble, poached or sunny)! The mandatory eggs aside, this plate comes with toast, grilled corn, pork sausage, avocado, hash brown, baked bean, cherry tomatoes, greens, trio mushroom and thick cut bacon. Nothing was exceedingly outstanding but on the whole, it was very comforting and hearty. 😋

Impressed with the quality of the food and service that they provide. Their breakfast platter offers huge servings and the food is up to standard.

X’mas eve brunch at Botanist...☕️

Find the bacon mushroom aglio olio a bit too oily, salty and spicy, all I can taste is like salt and pepper and the greasy bacon with spaghetti...

As for the white 7oz, I really think they can do a better job...the coffee beans are from Pacamara if I’m not wrong and I once tried the coffee there, the one from Botanist is too far-off as compared to Pacamara...

It’s like as if I’m just drinking milk, a very slight hint of coffee, imagine the coffee beans are under-extracted, and with lotsa milk (7oz, of cos there’s lotsa milk but it just made the under-extracted espresso super “diluted”)...

Tbh, I don’t think I’ll go back again...

Note: The mural painting wall outside Botanist is very instagrammable though...

Damage: $22.50 ($17 pasta + $5.50 white 7oz)

This is your classic English breakfast set, complete with bacon, hash browns, eggs (done the way you like it), toast, sausages among others. 🥓🍞🍳 They were really generous with each ingredient and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Usually not a fan of "cafe breakfast sets" but this impressed me because there was so much variety (they were all delicious too). A little pricey but for such a generous plate, I would totally revisit the cafe ☺️‼️

French Toast ($18) - fried brioche, rhubarb berry marmalade, fresh berries, almond flakes, poached pear, vanilla ice-cream. One of the best French Toast I have ever tasted. Everything just went so well together. I was impressed the ice-cream did not melt much even after a period of time. Breakfast Platter ($23) - toast, grilled corn, bratwurst sausage, avocado, hash, thick cut streaky bacon, mushroom, tomato, scrambled eggs. Loved the eggs as it was nicely done and creamy. The streaky bacon tasted like crispy sio bak. The mushrooms were juicy and flavorful. The best was the bratwurst sausage. When I cut through it, the juices just burst out. P/S: Skip the Iced Chocolate as the taste was not worth its price.
