Tonkotsu

So this limited Lobster Mazesoba was an immediate choice when we passed by this little place better known for their Nagoya Tsukemen.
We took the Japanese chef’s recommendation on the spicy version as it would be more flavourful. And without a doubt, this was 1 of the tastiest Mazesoba we had in SG. It had the distinct crustacean flavour blended in the goodness of a Mazesoba, with the magic of the onsen egg and the chilli as recommended.
We also tried their Tsukemen which showcased in beautiful slightly al dente and springy texture of their cold udon dipped in rich tonkotsu sauce.

It’s surprisingly good. And somewhere I will return to even tho there’s a ton of good ramen places nearby. They serve a damn good tsukemen but their ramen is not bad too. The tonkotsu is a bit lighter and less oily so it’s not that jelat for me. Chashu is yums. Very worth it on nomnomby!

I just realised that the price was nett when I was writing this lol. Anyway there's 50% off during certain hours if you're a jpassport member.

The noodles were perfectly chewy but I felt that when u dip the noodles into the broth there isn't enough flavour so I resorted to combining the two bowls so I could drink the soup. My friend however found it strong enough so that's up to personal tastes.

This was with the premium tonkotsu ramen in a set. It was quite ordinary. Not a lot of meat. I much prefer their signature fried rice.

This one came in a set with the chasu rice. $18. It was really quite nice. Very comforting on a rainy night. Soup was flavorful and didn’t have a bad porky smell.

😍👍🏼. The premium tonkotsu ramen was yummy and I liked that the soup was thick with collagen & not overly rich like some other places. Would have liked if the meat was slightly more tender but a good satisfying bowl nonetheless. For the side rice, the sashimi don was a let down with three thin salmon pieces that were oddly half cold half warm cause it had been placed on warm rice >

I like the thick noodles. Soup was ok. Not fantastic but acceptable. All their ramen come as original. Spicy sauce need to add $1. They changed their menu in August so some of the set items are different now.

Gave this a try since this ramen joint is having a 1 for 1 tonkotsu ramen promotion for jpassport account holders till end October ($15 nett for 2 bowls). Soup was thick and slightly too salty, noodles were perfect, chashu (2 slices) was small but delicious, egg (+$1) was great. A good bowl of ramen! I've tried their tsukemen (which is really good) in the past and I still prefer that compared to their tonkotsu ramen. They also have a salad bar which honestly isn't worth mentioning except for completeness' sake.
