Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola

RM36.00 ยท 5 Reviews

This hidden gem in Lucky Garden has inevitably found its way into our Burpple community's heart, thanks to its quality Italian favourites at reasonable prices. Dimly lit with spacious second-floor seatings, the quiet environment is ideal for a place to wind down after a long day. Bring your favourite colleague, or ask your best friend along for company. It also helps that house pours start from RM19.90 a glass! For dinner, get the Gnocchi al Gorgonzola (RM36), potato dumplings with grilled chicken and mushrooms. What the dish lacks in presentation is made up for with creamy, robust blue cheese flavours. For a lighter alternative, try the Spaghetti Portofino (RM38). Done deftly to an al-dente texture, the specialty spaghetti is deeply flavoured with seafood stock and an abundance of prawns, squid, mussels and fish. Don't let dinner end just yet; order their Panna Cotta a al Caramello (RM14), which Tastemaker Sok Chien declares the best she's ever had.

Whenever I visit a Italian restaurant, I always looking forward for homemade fresh pasta, ravioli and gnocchi on the menu. However not many restaurant in Malaysia is doing so. Browsing through the menu in Portofino make me excited about the variety of homemade pasta, ravioli and gnocchi they serve. I had a hard time to make up my mind on what I would like to have.

Gnocchi al Gorgonzola, small little potato dumpling that served with a combination of cream, gorgonzola cheese, mushroom and grilled marinated chicken slice. The texture of gnocchi is just right, not too mushy while the sauce is so flavorful, it compliment so well with the gnocchi. Definitely recommended for cheese lover.

That cheesiness! Potato dumplings w/ cream, blue cheese, mushrooms and topped with grilled chicken slices. The soft gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the creamy cheese definitely brought the dish up to a whole new level. Recommended to share.

Porto fino invited us over to sample their valentines day selections and the star of the night for me was this cheesyyy gnocchi. The gorgonzola cheese was pungent and creamy, just the way i like my cheese to be. Also, the dish comes with a few strips of pan fried chicken that gives your palette a change of taste. I would recommend to share this dish as all things cheesy will eventually lead to the jelak point. Also loved their tomato bruschetta and for dessert the panna cotta is a must ๐Ÿ˜
