Relatively new to the scene, Kind Kones comes to the aid of vegan converts with sweet subsistence: ice cream! The snazzy spot is an effort by the same people behind Raisin' The Roof (also vegan), who have taken to handcrafting all-natural vegan ice cream to encourage healthy eating. Going for RM9.90 a scoop (RM11.80 for premium flavours), the ice cream made from a base of almond, cashew or coconut milk is worth every penny you're paying for the sheer quality. Top flavours tried and tested by the Burpple community include the Salted Chocolate Chip, Mocha Almond Chocolate Chip and the French Vanilla Bean, all of which rock smooth textures and a pleasantly nutty aftertaste. Burppler Jesuis Enamourez tips her hat off to the Cinnamon Toast, citing it "light, not cloyingly sweet and keeps you wanting more." The dessert joint is also quick to introduce new, spunky flavours like Jackfruit and Durian though only when the fruit is in season. In case ice cream isn't your thing — we won't judge! —, the chiller showcases a myriad of delicious raw cakes and pastries. Chocolate Donuts (RM14.90), anyone?

Kind Kones enters the buzzy basement of 1Mont Kiara as the mall — and Malaysia's — first ever vegan ice cream bar, and we are thrilled! The kiosk's small but peppy space fits 12, including four kids, not to mention a chiller housing 12 ice cream flavours. Made purely from almond, cashew or coconut milk sans dairy, each flavour carries a contrasting profile and texture. The nut-based ones tend to be chunkier with a lingering nutty taste while the coconut-based flavours are creamy, almost rich. Of the flavours we tested, we liked the French Vanilla Bean, Salted Choc Chip and Jackfruit most. They've also refrained from the use of synthetic additives and refined sugar, allowing for the genuine flavours of their fresh ingredients to shine through. At RM9.90 a scoop (RM11.80 for premium flavours), this clocks in as a solid sweet treat, guilt-free. Add RM1.90 for a crunchy vegan cone!

So much love for this healthy alternative to a sweet treat! Kind Kones' all-natural vegan ice cream are to die for, especially after it actually sinks in that it's completely dairy-and-additive-free. Favourite flavours have got to be the Salted Chocolate Chip and French Vanilla Bean.
The cones are of course, vegan-friendly too!Wholemeal Vegan (RM1.90) has a slightly chewy but still crispy texture whereas the Gluten-Free cone made entirely from almond meal is extremely light and just as, if not more, crunchy.
