Highly recommend Merci Marcel. :-) Had one of the best Italian fusion dishes here! They used the pricey Tête De Moine cheese in their Ravioli and it was superb. A creamy dish made to perfection - not too gelat, but still super flavourful. The cheese lover in me died and went up to heaven. The boy got the 4 Soft Cheeses Platter ($23+) and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well, especially the truffle infused cheese which he polished off quickly. Need I say more???

Am salivating while typing cos' that's how fantastic this bowl of cheesy lil' bombs are.

It isn't photogenic, and may look like a moldy bowl of soup, but don't let that stop you from stepping into Raviole Heaven. Really.

we loved every dish and cleaned up every morsel of goodness on the plate. We had the Cesar Salad (Kale, Grilled Chicken, Poached Egg, Bacon & Aged Parmesan) which was light, refreshing and savory. OMG, and highly raved Ravioles de Royan (French Dumplings filled with Tete De Moine Cheese) were ultra decadent but smooth on the palate and the truffle scramble eggs were runny and downright flavorful to the very last bite. We are sooooo satisfied. @mercimarcel is definitely going into our favorites list! ❤️

that would have been a mistake because this Ravioles de Royan ($18) is worth raving for. This is a French dumpling pasta filled with Tete de Moine cheese. Every bite was an burst of umami. Creamy yet not overwhelming.

Despite the not-so-appetizing outlook, this dish far exceeded my expectations and surprisingly did not turn out to be too overwhelming as expected. In a pool of thick, creamy sauce, the tiny little dumpling-shaped pasta sheets are filled with cheese that was flavourful, creamy with a piquant cheesy flavour. If you are a fan of cheese, this is highly recommended for u! ✨ Though of course, I would highly advise to share it otherwise boredom might start kicking in after some time. The pasta sheets was also done to a slight al dente texture that still retain a pleasant firmness to the bite although despite my long photo-taking process 🙈. With a posh, cosy and welcoming ambience, this cafe had taken over the once “Orange Thimble” situated just next door of Tiong Bahru Bakery, a casual cafe in the day and bar by the night. Prices are slightly on the steeper side, but quality and service is definitely not compromised! .

French dumplings with filled a cheese I can’t pronounce, Tete de Moine. This was highly recommended by Veronica and you have to try it to see how good and indulgent it is. I recommend that you order a portion to share like we did.

Is just after tiong bahru bakery. Brunch vibrant cafe with energic service.

Ravioles de roan($18)-creamy cheesy but not to the point of overwhelming. Kinda thought bacon would be nice here 4.25/5

This is very popular for a reason - it is delicious.
Tiny in size, the French dumplings are stuffed with Tête de Moine cheese and cooked in a creamy white sauce before being served (very prettily) with shaved “florets” of more cheese.
This is available as a side in the evening menu’s “creative French plates”. Do get it to share as per Merci Marcel’s concept of “French Social Dining” because the taste is rich, so a little goes a long way.
Moreover, you will need to try the other dishes here too, like the “Duck Rillettes” ($18++) which I loved and the “Australian Angus Beef” ($39++). The latter comes sliced which makes it convenient to share.
