Bun Maska- Soft toasted bun with a slab of butter that was nondescript until soaked with the house Chai;
House Porridge- A literal blend of oats, milk, bananas and dates this was simple and excellent. You don't get the grains of oats- unlike what you make at home as Dishoom blends them into a fine concoction. Each spoonful goes smoothly right down the throat with distinct natural flavours and sweetness from the 2 fruits.
To further sweeten the deal- each bowl of house porridge is refillable for free. That said we were satisfied with one hearty bowl and decided the refill option will wait for a ravenous occasion.
"Warming comfort and satisfying spice" is an absolutely apt description of the cuppa Chai pictured above.
A representative cup of Masala Chai that's refillable- I foresee this being a usual pit stop during my 3.5 months here.
Still remember the wheaty smokiness of the naan melding with sweet bacon that splinters between the teeth.
