DJ Bakery (Serangoon)

They’re running a promo (U.P. $1.20) and the place smelled so good so I decided to get a bun! The red bean filling was a bit too sweet for my liking. However, it was a rather thick and well puréed paste which wasn’t grainy at all. Their bread is quite soft but I don’t think I’ll repurchase, I’ve had better!

Another bun from DJ Bakery with a crazy generous filling. The red bean paste was thankfully not too sweet, but I still prefer the chunky type of red bean paste so while I enjoyed this, I would probably not buy it again.

Wow...that is really a MAD ratio of filling to bread!!! I appreciate the humongous slab of yam paste but it was a bit sweet so it was the kind of snack where you are acutely aware of exactly how unhealthy it is while enjoying it at the same time. 😩

It got a bit squashed because I absentmindedly dumped a bag on onions on top of the bread in my bag, but the bun is SO SOFT!! With the nearly 2:1 ratio of cream cheese filling to bread, it was just like eating a cloud of cream cheese, which, as it sounds, got a bit cloying toward the end - and I only ate half a bun!

Hot Dog Bread was meh (not that nice) and don't have much taste inside hot dog.

Nice coffee aroma bun with a good mix of walnuts. Wish they have more wholemeal/healthy options instead of white bread. Overall good treat with a cup of coffee. ☕️
