Super nice vegetarian food. Definitely one of the better restaurants out there. No GST and service charge too!!!
This is a good comforting dish to have on a cold day. The meesua wasn’t slimy, and the heat from the ginger was nice. It seems like a very unassuming dish, but I found myself craving for this when it was raining.
It was more of a syrup kind of yoghurt drink, was unfortunately too sweet for our liking.
Gong Bao Monkey Head Mushroom with Rice and fried egg [$7.50]. I loved the texture of the monkey head mushroom - the softness and firmness had just the right balance, though the gong bao flavour was a little salty. The portion was very generous and worth the price. Most of the main/single-portion dishes are priced between $4.50-$5.50. There are also Zi Char dishes for sharing. This place is great for vegetarians looking for affordable food!
$4 a plate of hot stir fry yellow noodles & thick beehoon, fragrant when served yet plain in taste. Add some chilli to enjoy. Generous portion no doubt.
Similar to the Hokkien Mee ($4), D’life’s Hor Fun was more on the bland side. The kway teow itself was fried well but we really wished there was a touch more salt in the sauce!
