Same as the salmon, it was cold by 4pm so that affected the taste noticeably

The unagi was otherwise fatty and sweet and definitely would have worked brilliantly if it were freshly made, but it's understandably less generous than the salted salmon

Really brings me back to Japan. I've never found this anywhere else in Singapore, such a nostalgic taste

The execution is good, but for this actl it matters when you grab it. The temperature matters, plus when it's left outside for a while the seaweed doesn't hold its crisp as well, even tho it's still quite decent

The pic shows 3 pieces but there's only 2...

It does explode in your mouth, real wagyu, but texture was abit chewy

Not bad lah, not awe inspiring either

I'll be honest, since I rarely to go Japanese omakase it's really rare for me to have a good onigiri. This is the first one that passed my standards in Singapore

First of all, they're named for their rice, so their rice is up to standard. And secondly, a good onigiri MUST have good crispy seaweed, because that's the only thing providing the textural contrast. Somehow that's very rare but due to the separate packaging, Tokita seimai nailed it. The seaweed was also salty enough to carry the neutral rice.

Salmon kabayaki inside was sweet and tender too

I'm coming back. I won't say it's a must try since I don't know if this is a normal standard, but I haven't had better in Singapore yet. And at this price, I don't see a reason not to try it

PSA they also sell this 3 slices of premium wagyu kushi, you can tell from the marbling it's serious business, definitely trying that next

Proper wagyu, for 4.9nett that's enough said.

Although if I really had to nitpick, compared to the much more fancy wagyu places, this was slightly drier.

Definitely worth a try

PS Not quite sure how they create this product, it's too neatly square to be done by a human quickly

PSS I went at 630pm on a sat and got really lucky, there was no one queueing and after I bought suddenly 4 ppl were after me queueing. And after those 4 they ran out of this kushi

This was fantastic. The yuzu cream/custard had a strong yuzu fragrance, which combined so well w the creaminess. The mochi skin was soft, chewy, and stretchy too. Lovely stuff, if only the mochi skin was a tad thinner it would have been really perfect

At this price, and since it's available everywhere, it's a must try
