Brioche french toast ($22)-coated in almond flakes(?) Gives that crunch and sweetness to the already toasty exterior. Inside was somewhat caky, yoghurt and berries give some sourness contrast 4.25/5

Normally a dinner-only place, they opened early for brunch during weekends

DonHo ($18)-nicely toasted patty, slaw and pineapple adds a nice touch to the fatty bacon and egg 4/5

This french toast in DON HO is v v delicious, and the service was outstandingly good. The french toast ($22) was moist in the inside but crunchy outside, which is perfection! However, after several bites you might feel like its a bit too greasy. The cafe looks real cute w all the flamingos tho!

Decided to swing by for brunch over the weekend ๐Ÿ˜‹- such a pretty place! Absolutely loved the colour themes and tropical decor all around. @donhosg started half a year ago serving cocktails and tapas/small plates in the evenings, and have recently added a limited brunch menu for the weekends too. Charming, cosy atmosphere in a really lovely space (its entrance is hidden within @lolokusg at @theworkingcapitol). The scrambled eggs were soft and creamy, the sour dough was a little too charred and needed some spread to go with it. Hope they'll add more substantial dishes for brunch in time to come ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ’•

Here's another glimpse at what @donhosg offer for brunch during weekends. From Potato Rosti to Pan Baked Eggs and healthier option like Avocado Bruschetta, we all favoured different dishes. I kinda like The Don Ho ($18), though sinful I just can't resist the combination of candied maple bacon and grilled pineapple. Not to forget, they serve those irresistible Crispy Eggplant ($12) drench in spicy fragrant sauce for brunch too!

.
With all-day breakfast selections like Brioche French Toast, Avocado Bruschetta and Hot Smoked Salmon.
.
Well complemented with their range of drinks from coffee, smoothies and bloody mary for a complete hearty meal.

Their Brioche French Toast ($22) has banana slices and pecans with a dollop of raspberry cream. To help balance the sweetness, they have paired their cereal toast honeyed with maple syrup with the sourish cream which I absolutely adored. And the best part is you can reserved your seats via @quandoo_sg!

A thin crispy layer of flatbread sandwiching some braised sticky pork belly with refreshing carrot daikon slaw, kimchi, coriander and shallots. The tangy tasting vegetables gave an Asian touch to the flatbread and would definitely whet your appetite to a good brunch ahead!

Brunch and lunch is now available at Don Ho on weekends from 10am onwards.

Don Ho began a new brunch service, and I went to check it out. How pretty is this brioche french toast?! ๐Ÿ˜ Topped with banana, raspberry cream cheese, pecans and maple syrup ($18). Also, many thanks to @donhosg for the kind invitation!

For a fun and casual night out with friends, DON HO may just be the place. This latest addition to the Keong Saik enclave is all about sharing the good times, as seen in its cheery tropical-inspired decor and fusion plates to share. The cuisine isn't distinct, which can make it a bit difficult to decipher what sort of a meal you're going to have, so bring an open mind. You wouldn't go wrong with the Crispy Eggplant ($10), which is beautifully caramelised with a lovely sweet-spicy flavour, the Zaatar Flat Bread ($12) or the Wood Roasted Pumpkin and Sweet Potato ($12). The Burpple community also has good things to say about the Grassfed Black Angus Striploin ($20) served with chimichurri, and the Clams ($12) with iberico cubes served in a tasty broth. Wash it all down with any of their well-executed cocktails. Pro tip: The entrance is via the back alley; walk past the brightly painted wall of Loloku and turn left. It's beside popular unagi restaurant Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant.
Avg price: $45 per person

Don Ho is a relatively new concept by the Social Summer Kitchen, situated via the back alley at Keong Saik. The restaurant and bar emphasises on shared dinning and a wide range of cocktails.

The spring menu 2017 is interestingly categorised info three components - land, earth and sea. In frame is one of a recommended dish from land, Roasted Iberico Pork Jowl [$16] accompanied with slow cooked egg, miso, radish and burnt onion. Overall, a tad too salty for my liking.

(I have some difficulty locating the entrance along this alley but it's beside the popular man man unagi.)
.
For a start, some plates that i enjoyed are the Flower Clams ($16) and smoked Ox Tongue Sliders. The best being the Crispy Eggplant ๐Ÿ†!!!! i dont usually like to eat eggplant, brinjal or whatever u called this purple veggie, but i willingly succumbed to what this place offers. Crispy caramelised eggplant which is gluten-free and highly addictive. โ€”$10. With such ambient, do expect to whip out a few more $ notes for the recommended portion is 3 dishes per pax. A slight pity that our half grilled lobster ($38) didnt turn out as what we expected.
.
Nonetheless, alcoholics would love this bar as they have really decent cocktails, especially the sweet ones for the ladies. And do expect the place to be packed even on weekdays.

.
Their Spring 2017 Menu are divided in to 5 main categories. "Land" mainly consists of the meats like Pork, Beef, Chicken. "Earth" are breads, eggplants lettuces while "Sea" are of course those seafood Oysters, Prawns, Lobsters. For big groups, go for their "Big Sharing" which the meats comes in KGs. "Happy Ending" with 3 choices of desserts.
.
Except the Big Sharing, the rest comes in small plates that is recommended to order 3 plates per pax for sharing.
.
Not forgetting to mention that they do serve some decent cocktail that range from $16 to $22++.

Situated within The Working Capitol, entrance to Don Ho is via back alley door (while there, see the snaking queue at Man Man). Stepping into the premise, you'll see tropical-inspired decor, communal tables and an open concept kitchen!

Serving modern Australian cuisine in small sharing portion, they recommend to have three dishes per person! Here we had Split Grilled Tiger Prawn ($14) paired with sweet cocktail, Coco Bongo ($18) and Flower Clams ($16). The latter, cooked in chicken broth and white wine, with bits of iberico has an savoury finish that I wish we ordered more to share.
