So here's a guide(we figured out only after the meal)
1) you start off with a a clear broth, that's to cook your fishcake and oden-like things. Google Korean fishcake(odeng)
2) order the sauce when you're ready to start your tteokbokki, they pour in the sauce and you wait for it to thicken, throw stuff in and when it becomes similar to what you expect of tteokbokki sauce you can enjoy tteokbokki
3)after you're done w tteokbokki you can ask for the fried rice

Finally there's dessert(pictured), it's a very average bingsu, I wouldn't waste my calories on that but it's hard to resist after a full heavy meal

If the food was good enough it would mask all the problems to some degree but this place was average. You can buy most of the stuff yourself tbh

The cheese tofu(v fluffy) and the cheese mochi were nice though

And this cheese ring was the saving grace to some extent, it's mozz and it's well browned(that's why it takes a while to come)

Nothing out of the ordinary but quite satisfying

The kimchi fried rice at the end was delicious actually, and thankfully the portion was manageable(about 1 pax portion if it's a normal meal) because who isn't stuffed after a buffet

The food is average, but there's a few teething issues that combine to make for an annoying experience

1) no obvious place to put the huge ladle
2)no fixed "dustbin" for used skewers and mussel shells etc
3)no option of proper tea, which is extremely unnerving for what I tot was a respectable Korean place(it's not, just think of it as a place that happens to sell tteokbokki
4)the choice of music was weird, not to mention not Korean at all
5) free flow water had to be ordered(slightly more understandable I guess because the buffet includes drinks)
6) some things took ridiculous long after ordering on the tablet, we only got them after asking the staff which really makes us question the need for a tablet (rmb it's a timed buffet, 90mins only so speed is critical)

Went to Dookki for the first time to try out their student lunch deal ($17+ after gst and svc charge per pax)😋 Really loved their cheese tteokbokki and their fishcakes were good too!!🥰 Would definitely come back again as its really worth the money🤣 Ratings 8.5/10!!

Ps. For those who cant take spice, mild spicy already has quite a kick so this might not be for you unless u request for less spice😅
