I am not a fan of duck due to its gamey taste and duck meat is usually tough and dry. This roasted duck from Duck master is not as “smelly” and not tough/dry. Would be better if they have braised sauce to pair with but they have chilli sauce. Additional $2 for cutting service 🔪🦆

It’s no longer $15. And pardon my very cheeky picture of the taunting duck peeking at me during my bus ride home. Hahaha

From the corner of my eye, it was creepy too.

But that was all my photographing got as far as I know cos I didn’t expect this $16 duck to be anything worth reviewing.

WRONG WAS I.

Cinnamon, star anise, salty scents permeated the entire duck beautifully. Beware of the ribs area, the heavy cinnamon rub got ‘spicy’ some. 👅

The meat was soft and supple (not dried out at all)! Wonderful :)

9/10 (for value too)

Given the earlier press about the duck, decided to purchase it yesterday on a whim. Had to wait an hour before the duck was ready. Taste-wise, not the most succulent or moist. However, at $15 it is great value with a similar standard to your standard duck from the coffee shops.

After sharing a massive bowl of Mala from the nearby Ri Ri Hong, I walked past this place with my friend and heard the cries of “$15 for roasted duck”. We succumbed to those cries despite being satisfied from dinner and ordered one since there wasn’t a waiting time (which apparently can go up to 3 hours). There’s nothing much to complain about a freshly roasted duck for only $15, and while it’s not going to be the best you’ve had, but it’s hard to find better value elsewhere.

Here’s a pro tip if you want to eat the duck straight away - head on to Urban Toast which is just next to the stall and they will chop the duck up and packet it in a proper box for $3. The uncles there are really nice and they were offering free drinks to patrons, so that was really nice of them!

$15 for a whole roasted duck. Got there on a public holiday at abt 3pm and waited for 1.5hrs. They will give a token after you make payment. And you can collect at the time they mentioned.

Duck Master Whole Duck ($15)
.
Queuing made easy here as I ordered my duck online the day before and just strolled to the stall to collect at the allocated timeslot. The herbly smell of the freshly roasted duck permeates through the bag. Remember to ask for extra chilli as there’s no way the one tiny sauce cup of chilli is sufficient for the whole duck meat. The crispy skin at the shoulder area is probably the best, tasting rather similar to peking duck whilst the duck meat all over was cooked perfectly moist and juicy. They don’t chop up the duck but it’s really no issue peeling it off the bones with a fork.
