Had the sichuan pork noodles, fried pierogi and salted plum wolfberry pu-erh tea.

The drink sounded interesting but wasn’t as tasty as I thought it will be. Sichuan pork noodles had the taste of the right spices. What stood out for me was the fried pierogi. It’s something not commonly found in SG, the mashed potato and bacon mixture just taste so good together with the slight crunchy dumpling skin.

Place is small, abit dark and really noisy. Will recommend to go with just a friend. Not exactly a place for date.

2nd time dining at this outlet, it’s one of me & my bff favorite spot! Lunch set is super worth, comes with a bowl of noodle, a drink & 4pcs of dumplings.

Our must order dumplings:
- Fried pierogi: how I would describe this to my friends is it’s a fusion of Chinese food with angmoh invasion cos it’s filled with potato, bacon and cheese!
- Smoke duck: how can I not order this! Smoke duck and balsamic vinaigrette goes so well together!

Ps: it’s always crowded, so do remember to reserve first!

got the smoked duck + original dumplings ($8 each)!! and the sichuan pork noodles too :D feel like the flavours here are so complex and well thought-out, overall 9/10

My friend has been seeing review online about this hence in invited me to try.

We ordered the dumpling platter ($15) and braised pork ramen ($8).

I like how the shopkeeper pay attention to detail by offering us individual plate even though we never asked for it. The dumpling is served separately for each flavour which is very delightful to see.

The ramen is delicious and even better than lots of Japanese ramen that I have tried. The dumpling has lots of bold flavour which I am amazed.

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal.

got the lunch set for $17++ and the burpple beyond deal! quite worth it as we saved around $12. the bowl of noodles isn't that big of a portion, but still very yummy nonetheless! the dumplings are really good too, we got the smoked duck and sichuan and it was vv yumz 😋😋 sichuan was pretty much chilli oil dumplings! would come back again ⭐️⭐️

As a picky gymrat, I have a long list of restaurants that I would never go back and eat, but Dumplings Darlins is not and will never be among that list.

Let’s start with the Noodles, they are just the right texture, more importantly the hold onto that lovely braised pork sauce like its life depended on it. Next, that braised pork and the sauce, the pork does not come in chunks, it comes shredded (RIP zyzz). Normally pulled pork or any meat would come out dry and stringy, but not this one because of the savory sauce. What can I say about the eggs they are great thats just because I like eggs.

Moving on to the dumplings, starting with the original, the ratio of filling to skin is perfect. Personally, its a very average dumpling that I would not order again, because its average not because its not nice!!! The duck dumplings though, normally duck is not an easy protein because of its gaminess and texture, but the flavour of their duck was richer than Scrooge Mcduck combined with that takoyaki sauce and a slight mushroom flavour at the end.

FRIED PEROGI DUMPLINGS, I have to leave a whole paragraph for that. I have never had a dish in my life at restaurants that I would go crazy and be excited to eat again, but this perogi changed my experience. The smooth creamy potato filling, and that well flavoured, not-too-salty bacon bits, drove me through a whole new experience. With that pink spicy sauce which I do not suggest eating alone cause it tastes like cheap nacho cheese, but when combined with that wonderful perogi, it was like the perfect touch, cherry on top of that cake.

Macro wise, not very friendly, protein to carbs ratio is just nice nothing much to complain about. The overall taste experience, everything to compliment about. Overall rating, I can never execute a dish like this at home out of HAKATA RAMEN.
