Smooth and thick fried porridge with slices of meat, taro and shrimp, topped with fried shallots and pork lard. The porridge is wok-fried and then scooped into a claypot to serve. It has a deep and smoky wok-hei aroma. The flavours of the porridge were strong and not too salty. This is a comforting bowl of porridge that’s perfect for the rainy day 》$7 / small
KL-style Hokkien mee with cabbage, pork slices and shrimp generously coated in dark soya sauce then topped with crispy pork lard. I like the wok-hei and savoury flavours in there. The thicker noodles are well coated in sauce with a bouncy chewy texture that’s quite similar to udon 》$7 / small
Fried porridge ç‚’ç²¥ originated from Penang. Dynasty Fried Porridge is supposed to be the original and best in Singapore.

noodles had a nice flavour. But its a bit costly at $6. Especially when there is a char siew noodle stall next door.
Their fried porridge seemed q popular though.
Well the name of the stall says Dynasty Fried Porridge so we have to try their much vaunted fried porridge. This is the smallest portion and it costs $7. And what a gem.
You will find bits of dried cuttle fish, yam, port, scallops, fried shrimps. And lots of lard amd fried scallions. So the flavour is very complex but nice. The dish is served in a claypot which retains the heat very well. We could smell the wok heat immediately as it was being served.
I would rate this as the best fried porridge that I have tasted so far in Singapore.
Definitely coming back for more!
This has got to be the most authentic KL Fried Hokkien Noodles in Singapore.
Order the smallest portion $7. The noodles are the thick round yellow noodles. They come well coated with black soya sauce and are chewy almost like udon. Bit of pork and cabbage added and lots of pork lard! Got wok heat and we gobbled up every strand.
I’ll do a separate review for their fried porridge to do justice to this great Zi char stall. One fall back is its location on Foch Road, difficult to find a parking lot at all times of the day especially meal times.
Definitely coming back!
