My favourite meat dish amongst all I've tried here! The outer layer is really so crisp and perfectly caramelised,yet was light and not too heavy and jelat either. These were so addictively good they were gone in no time at all 😋

This dish was also very interesting in the sense that it was actually served on ice😯 So the outer layer was kind of cooler in contrast to the meat inside! Oh and don't worry there's a layer of film between the ice and the meat by the way 😂

Sweet and Sour Pork is a must-order at zichar stalls for my family and East Bistro just aced it with their rendition of Iced Sweet and Sour Pork ($18[S], $27[M], $36[L]). 🌟🌟🌟

This is definitely something different from what you get elsewhere as the tomato-based sauce has been cleverly swapped up by hawthorne sauce. 💕 This dish leans towards the sweet side, which I personally felt would be better if it was more tangy for a balance. The deep-fried pork, however, was well-executed - crispy skin and not overly tough. 😋

What is the purpose of the ice, u may ask. Well, it lent a helping hand in securing the sauce onto the meats & retaining the crisp, while the pork remained warm inside. ✔ What an ingenious idea! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Besides their CNY menu, you would be equally delighted to indulge in East Bistro’s mouthwatering dishes in their ala carte menu. ✌🏻 East Bistro prides themselves for their dimSUM too, & this Rice Rolls with Dark Sauce would be a great starter to your meal. 🤩🤩🤩

When it was served, I almost mistook it for XO Carrot Cake as it bore an uncanny resemblance! 🤣 Featuring silky smooth rice rolls stir-fried with dark sauce, topped with crunchy beansprouts, this one carried a bit of wok-hei that got me wanting more. 🤤🤤🤤

Heard that their “mushroom” char siew bao & egg yolk custard croissant are good too! 💕 Will give those a try on my next visit!
