Queues to order at this popular stall can stretch up to 30 minutes, more so now that they've gained a Michelin Bib Gourmand award.

Their rendition has a nice helping of small but juicy fresh oysters, bursting with briny sweet salty flavour.

The mix of gooey crisp potato starch and fluffy egg, topped with crisp parsley, carries smoky eggy sweet savoury herbal salty flavour. They cook it slightly wet, with a bit of gravy.

The lime infused chili has a good zesty tangy sour spicy kick, lingering on the palate.

Out of the many stalls there, several of them stood out the most, evident from their long queues such as Song Kee Fried Oyster. As you inch closer to the front of the line, you can witness the master at work, as if the chef was dancing around the wok, frying up plates of oyster omelette. This stall served two variations, the oyster omelette and oyster egg, with many going for the former. The egg and tapioca starch batter is fried till crispy before fresh raw oysters are added at the very end and given a quick fry. After plating, the dish is topped with spring onions and served with a tangy dipping chilli sauce.

Quite pleased with this satay from song kee .
Meat was fresh and the Satay sauce had chunky peanuts 🥜.

Didn’t quite order from the popular Malay stalls because those tend to be sweeter .
I tend to like my Satay more savoury than sweet.

More than satisfied my satay cravings !

While most order from lagoon carrot cake , I decided to give another stall a chance and came across a stall about 5 to 6 stalls on the left of lagoon carrot cake.

This stall sells oyster omelette, black and white carrot cake and satay.

Added an additional dollar for extra egg to “ upgrade “ my carrot cake .

Quite pleased with this carrot cake though not the best but definitely above average .

🍴Was highly impressed by this #oysteromelette that came with super big, plump, and juicy oysters, well worth the price of $1/oyster (there were 8). Love that it wasn’t overly starchy/ oily and was a perfect balance of egg and juicy oysters. They also have a fried oyster version (#orhjian) which has more wok hei & crispy egg edges but less juicy oysters. Our perfect combo would be juicy oysters + little starch + crispy egg so maybe we have to get both next time and mix them up 😂. Thinking of the juicy oysters is already making me crave another delicious plate of #orhluak

Although there were only 3 oysters, at least it was big and quite fresh. The starch vs egg ratio was just nice and it wasn't overly oily.
