The meal started and ended with pu'er tea. Which is really not for everyone as it is extremely bitter. Service was good and servers were attentive.
Ordered the 3 kinds of assorted roasted meat. Came with roasted duck, roasted pork and char siew. Roasted pork was the best I have ever tasted. Roasted duck and char siew were pretty average however. I preferred crystal jade's char siew over this.
The main stars of the show were the pan fried shredded beef bun, steamed custard bun and steamed custard cake (both had salted yolk in the custard). Each basket costs ($6.80-7 each)
There is also dim sum for the kids shaped like animals such as dogs and elephants which costs $7.20 for a basket.

Anyone in the mood for a crisp oyster omelette ?

Fried to a golden crisp and filled with juicy oysters .

Quality Teochew food from east ocean restaurant .

Simple ingredients yet so good ...

Dried shrimps , salted fish , yam cubes , mushroom, garlic bits and chopped peanuts decided to have a party together on National Day and what a beautiful union of taste 😊🙏

Starting off our nation’s and my papa’s birthday with a simple yet so well executed Claypot fried rice .

Thumbs up 👍

Three lovely meats!! My favourite is obviously the charsiew (as I’ve raved before about), but the char shao (pork) is also really great - nice thick slices with crispy crackling skin! The duck was average though. Was pretty worth it with the 15% off by using a DBS card!

The char siew from East Ocean is really.... incomparable!!!! Just look at this beauty... It’s so amazingly tender, it’s as if it were cooked sous vide. There’s just the right amount of fats and isn’t too charred (unlike a lot of places, since this seems to be a trend now). The sauce is also really perfect and not too sweet or sticky. Definitely my favourite char siew!

P.s. I love their other dishes too and they actually have 15% off for DBS card members until 31 July! Really worth it and good to go with family.

The braised duck has a nice layer of fats and meat. The marinade evenly penetrates the meat, infused with a nice savoury flavour. However, it comes with a price tag for the small portion. .
Teochiew Sliced Soy Duck from S$18.
