Average fried chicken in my opinion. Staff was friendly and service was great!

+ Taiwanese sausage
Pancake was crispy but not as flaky as we’d hoped. The mayo and ketchup overwhelmed the pancake as it got really saucy towards the end. Probably wouldn’t order this again.

It was a BRAISED meat affair at Eat at Taipei at SAFRA Toa Payoh yesterday 🐷🐷🐷 Overall, there were some hits & (mostly) misses.
.
Here's what we tried:
🔹️Braised Pork Belly and Preserved Vegetables Noodles
🔹️Nantou Lu Rou Fan
🔹️Nantou Lu Rou Noodles
🔹️Dang Gui Herbal Duck Mee Sua
🔹️Oyster & Pork Intestines Mee Sua
🔹️Braised Pork Bun
🔹️Radish Omelette
🔹️Milk Tea with Grass Jelly
🔹️Honey Lemon Osmanthus Tea
.
I must say that they are pretty generous with the ingredients in the main courses 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Though the braised meats were not pull-apart tender nor 💯 flavourful, they were decent & went well when mixed with rice 😋 Be warned about their severely overcooked noodles though! 😔😔😔
.
The utter disappointment has got to be the Oyster Mee Sua, whose oysters carried such a strong briny & metallic taste that we totally stopped digging into the bowl. ❌❌❌
.
They might have to be more meticulous with the selection & dealing of cuts of meats (the meat used in the buns even had the hard white bones like those in pork ribs! 😱 Imagine biting down on that hidden amidst the soft bun! 😔)
.
Service by the polite crew was good, & the space reserved for a group of ~20 of us was spacious. 💕 However, not serving tap water 😢 is still 1 of my deal-breakers.
.
Of cuz, if you're expecting the 👍🏻 quality of the real deal of Taiwanese delicacies, you'll be denied of your wish. ❌ But if you're just looking for a fuss-free meal, this would still pass. ✔
.
If ever i'm back, it will only be for Sukiya - its neighbour under the same boss. 😂
