Hidden along Northbridge Road is a tiny hole-in-the-wall churning out delicious whole cakes and yummy small bites. Get the fragrant and moist Genmaicha Cake ($50 for 6'') or the fluffy Earl Grey Mango Cake ($48) for tea-based cake layered with mango curd. Order some bittersweet Matcha Blondies ($9 for a box of 6) to enjoy with loved ones at home. Also good, get their Bubble Tea Tart ($7.50) for milk tea custards and chewy pearls held in a crumbly buttery crust or the smoky yet floral Bubble Thai Milk Tea Tart ($8.50) that are only sold from Fridays to Sundays!

The bubble tea trend is strong since last year, and it has already invaded pastries and desserts. This matcha tart has a nice crispy texture, while the matcha itself is not too bad as well.

Birthday cake for our 1yo boy. Looks amazing!
Earl grey lavender cake tasted “so-so” as a cake but tasted much better than a lot of children cakes.

Say what, a bubble Thai milk tea tart? 🤤 I am sold. Chanced upon what’s only available from Fridays till Sundays in limited quantities, the Thai milk tea custard from @edithpatisserie was created with much resemblance to the actual Cha yen that had a good balance of smoky and floral character (and that includes the high level of sugar). In fact, tea leaves were added. Tart shell was impressive; pleasant buttery aroma and breaks nicely without crumbling into a mess. Topped with a handful of chewy boba.

Got these during their pop up at Novena Square. The flavours are matcha, salted speculoos, hazelnut and lavender earl grey. My favourites are still the salted speculoos and lavender earl grey! They have more distinct flavours and stood out more as compared to the matcha and hazelnut brownies.

These were soooo good! Was worried that they’d turn out to be dense, solid blocks of matcha fudge when I opened the box but turns out I had nothing to worry about. The matcha blondies were soft and melt-in-you-mouth, with an unbelievably intense matcha flavour. These blondies toe a fine line and never comes across as too bitter or sweet. These blondies also had the texture of what I would consider an excellent brownie. I’d definitely pick up a box again, and am also excited to try the other items offered!
