Need to wait quite awhile for biscuit which was slightly drier than preferred. Love the honey butter that served with it.

Eggslut has just released their newest Truffle menu. The 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵, 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵, and 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗴𝗴𝘀𝗹𝘂𝘁 have made their debut, and we couldn’t help but head down to try it for ourselves.

The 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵 ($𝟭𝟴) was loaded and stacked with ingredients between two glistening soft buns. Eggslut’s signature scrambled eggs were creamy and fluffy, but this time elevated with a hint of truffle. The clear star of the show was excellent wagyu tri-tip steak. It was juicy, well-seasoned, and seared to perfection! However, for a sandwich where the truffle flavour was supposed to be the star, perhaps they could’ve been more generous with it. Nevertheless, it was definitely still satisfying.

Surprisingly, the 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗴𝗴𝘀𝗹𝘂𝘁 ($𝟭𝟭) was priced the same as the original one - and so we hesitated no further. Lying on a bed of potato puree and a tucked under a beautifully cooked coddled egg, the truffle mushrooms were aromatic and delicious. This new addition combined perfectly with potatoes and eggs by providing that earthy and intense truffle aroma. This was a great choice!

The Truffle menu is seasonal, so do head down to try before it’s gone! Truffle aside, we must say that Eggslut’s sandwiches are as solid as we remember - and would make for a satisfying meal.

When I first tried their fairfax burger ($12) when they just open, it was very egg and runny. The bun was buttery and savoury too.

Fastfoward now, the egg seems to be less and not bun was dry (I assume they reduce the butter). There is this promient of garlic which wasn't there the first time I ate it. I feel that it is out of place for an egg burger.

The truffle hashbrown was like mashed potato being fried for me which does not suit my palate.

Overall, not going to patronise again

This collaboration between both brands will be available for a limited time only from 7 July to 30 September, and you can look forward to creations such as the eggstraordinary Chilli Crab & Scrambled Egg Brioche Sandwich and Chilli Crab Slut, just in time to celebrate the upcoming National Day. No mantous were harmed for these creations. 😏
