From the Burpple community

Order their signature Fairfax Burger ($12) which consist of 9 eggs and 5 butter. Outcome is a dense egg and buttery burger which is delicious.

The Slut ($11) is kind of underwhelming which is just egg and mashed potato with toasted breadstick. I would spend the money on other burger instead.

Oh yeah, it's my turn to be a slut for Eggslut. The American egg sandwich shoppe has finally hit our shores, opening it's first branch at Scotts Square to snaking queues. Y'all folks can't get enough of new food trends eh. (Myself included.) It actually reminds me of Shake Shack when they first opened over here - the queues, the hype, it's all too similar I tell ya!

Being egg specialists, @eggslutsg
offers up egg sandwiches and more! Scrambled, baked, overeasy, you name it. My friends decided to head down on a Saturday afternoon and while there was a queue, it took around 30 minutes to get a seat. (Which is kinda fast.) Well, we decided to get:

◾Fairfax Sandwich + Bacon [$15]
The OG Eggslut sandwich with buttery soft scrambled eggs is none other than the Fairfax. You just have to get this when you're at the slut. And of course, bacon is not necessary but definitely a much need salty and meaty addition to round off the sandwich that's topped with chives, onions, cheddar cheese and sriracha mayo

◾Sausage, Egg & Cheese [$12]
Reminding me of a fancier version of McDonald's Sausage McMuffin, this version from Eggslut was superb as well. The house-made chicken sausage was *chef kiss* and the brioche bun was everything the McMuffin ain't.

◾Cheeseburger [$13.5]
Sadly, the Gaucho wasn't available during our visit. (Why God why.) Hence my friends and I settled for the Cheeseburger as we're all carnivores and needed a lil' meat. Unfortunately, while a good sandwich in its own right, it didn't really impress and was kinda forgettable. It was very similar to the Sausage sandwich - which I found more flavourful cos of the sausage patty. So get that instead I would say if you're deciding between the two.

All in all, I'm glad I got to try Eggslut and be a slut myself. Their egg sandwiches are a pretty solid entry into the local market and the price ain't as bad as - *glances at Shake Shack*. I'll definitely head back to try the Gaucho, but only if there ain't no queues. I'm sure the hype will end sooner or later, just like - *glances at Shake Shack again*.

Waited for 1 hour 30 min (big YIKES btw)

Where should I start ? The Slut Egg taste like egg mashed potato la sia
Honestly? Taste like Aston mashed potato and guess what, with that price at Aston , it comes with the egg’s Mother!!

The supposed highlight of the show ,the scrambled egg buns! Oh yea baby. IT TASTE NTH SPECIAL TBH!! Trust me i ate like 81,746 scrambled eggs in my life and this is just the 81,747th

Will I come back? Nope unless someone pointing a gun at me

Anyway the best thing is actually the truffle hash brown (should name the shop as Hashbrown Slut)

Fairfax ($12+3 for bacon) 🍔 7/10

I'm sure you've heard all about the rich and fluffy eggs in their signature dish and how they it probably consists of eggs and butter in a 1:1 ratio. Yes the eggs are decadently creamy, the bacon is thick, and the caramelised onion seals each mouthful together with a faint sweetness.

What you haven't heard is that scrambled eggs don't hold up well in a burger. With each bite, the eggs collapsed more and more until I was left with just a mouthful of bread. I would've enjoyed it a lot more if they served eggs on a plate like eggs usually are. I left a little underwhelmed.

Hash brown ($4.50) 🥔 5/10

These hash browns were perfectly crispy on the inside and enjoyably textured on the inside but I barely got a whiff of truffle like they promised! I couldn't get past the first medallion without asking for some sauce.

The signature - Fairfax Sandwich sees cage-free eggs beautifully scrambled with chives, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese and sriracha mayo sandwiched between two fluffy brioche buns.

Queued 10 minutes for breakfast, then waited 20 minutes after ordering. The scrambled egg was very good. The brioche that so many rave about is ok, but not fragrant as it would be in France. The bacon ($3 extra) was either invisible, or they just forgot about it! Would I go back? At this level of pricing, I’d rather have chicken than egg.
