If you happen to visit fook yuen desserts and rice balls , then make sure you turn the corner to fu wah cafe.

I typically avoid Cha Chan Teng for my dinner option because I don’t see how a cafe can do buns and noodles and “ tze char” dishes all as well.

However , the food at fu wah cafe really changed my mind. Apart from the good polo buns and their unique Liu Sha cocktail buns and chicken tarts and satay beef Maggie Mee in soup , their alar cate dishes are even better .

It makes you feel like you are eating from home except that the dishes are really huge in quantity.

The mei cai and minced meat ( preserved vegetables ) over poached cai Xin was so tasty , I could just have this and rice and be Super satisfied .

When the chicken Claypot arrived , it brought my tastebuds yet again to heaven. The chicken was so fresh and tender and well seasoned with lots of aromatics like garlic , dried chilli , spices and spring onions . I haven’t had a chicken Claypot dish that I enjoyed as much as this .

Both dishes were tasty without being greasy , overly seasoned and oily . It really takes a Chef with exceptional skills .

I will be coming back for more .
