Had the big breakfast which was pretty decent! Love their pesto pasta (not pictured) too as it wasn’t too creamy or salty. Cute little cafe that is walkable from serangoon
A hidden gem in the quiet neighbourhood just opposite Serangoon Stadium. Ordered the braised beef cheek which is really tender and flavourful, accompanied with sautéed mushrooms, atop a really soft creamy mash potatoes.
Tried my first Burpple experience with this restaurant. It’s amazing and cosy. Got the braised beef cheek, crab meat pasta, truffle fries and apple tart with ice cream. Overall the braised beef cheek was the best cause it was so and tender, the sauce was just the right amount of richness so it doesnt overpower or overwhelm your meat.
Crab meat pasta we topped up $3 for the handmade pasta. It was cooked nicely with white wine with generous amount of garlic.
Truffle fries was $15? But it was okay not mind blowing
The apple tart was great! A definite must have but if you don’t have a sweet tooth it’ll be better to share with someone as the apple can get abit too sweet. I loved the vanilla ice cream cause it’s so creamy.
The boyfriend ordered chocolate shake which cost $10 but I don’t think it’s worth it as it tasted like something you could make at home.
Overall experience definitely 8/10 will come back again! Please take note that the burpple coupon does NOT apply to the crab meat pasta!
this photo of the lamb shank I got (with Burpple Beyond's 1 for 1 deal on a Saturday night!) does not do it justice at all. the braised lamb was tasty & tender, paired wonderfully well with milky, non-canned (tasting) mashed potatoes & a tomato-based puree. not to mention LOKLOK-styled veggies! 👏🏻😭🙌🏻 the boyfriend got a wagyu beef burger, medium doneness, which was juicy & iconic, but I preferred the lamb for its tenderness! it was a huge shame that I couldn't finish my main- my only word of caution is the portioning is on the large side, may not be an issue for you. you may want to order one main to share if you're small eaters! I would also recommend the Pink Lady drink for a icy refreshing after the walk from Serangoon MRT. 😊
I wanted to post a picture of the more photogenic brown waffles we got with speculoos & chocolate icecream, but the highlight of this date night was really the mains.
cost-wise, expect higher-end café prices. & make a reservation if you don't like queues! I'd say the effort is all very much worth it for a treat though. ☺️
You have got to try their pesto prawn and short rib pasta with their handmade tagliatelle 😍
Food was great! Pork chop was tender and the truffle fries is a must try!!!
