For dessert, we decided to try something more unique and hence, we ordered the coconut Panna Cotta! The dessert basically comprises a scoop of coconut ice cream placed atop a Panna Cotta dessert, and enclosed in coconut flesh! The dish was decorated with biscuit crumbs, which added a pretty nice touch and crunch to the dessert!

The coconut ice cream was pretty refreshing and because it doesn't taste overpowering, we thought it paired pretty well with the Panna Cotta, which is basically lightly sweetened cream! However, the surprise was really the coconut flesh, which we felt was really creative and we never expected it to be used in a dessert dish! Overall, the dish was a very light one and we think it's worth a try for those of you who are not averse to coconut!

For around $12++, we think the price is reasonable and it's more than enough to be shared between 2 as well. 😁

very tender and flavourful. the bed of mashed potatoes almost stole the show.

we ordered the wagyu beef burger ($26) & bbq baby pork ribs ($25) using the burpple beyond one for one deal & we were pleasantly surprised w the large portions that were sufficient to fill two large & hungry post-swimming stomachs! there is a small al fresco dining area & a larger indoor dining area too. the outside dining area has great chill vibes for dates~. although the bbq ribs were a little disappointing (6/10) as the meat was dry, they were still somehow fall-off-the-bone so that wasn't too bad. would not order that again but would def order the wagyu burger (8.5/10) that was really quite chef's kiss! the beef was fragrant and juicy and the fries that came with were salted to perfection. will def be back to try the ribeye steak ($33) and lamb shank ($32)!

Definitely recommend topping up ($3) to their homemade tagliatelle pasta, it's delicious!

Situated in a row of shophouses opposite Serangoon Stadium, I put off going to this cafe for awhile because I was always worried about parking (as shophouse parking goes, there is usually very limited availability). Thankfully, the parking situation seemed quite alright on a Sunday nightβ€”I arrived at 7pm with lots of spaces in front of already closed shophouses. For those who travel by public transport, it does not appear to be the most accessible, but if you are willing to take a short walk, it should only be a few stops from NEX Shopping Mall! Might be a bit of a sunny unsheltered walk in the afternoon, so maybe opt for dinner if you do not appreciate too much sun.

We ordered two mains, the Crab Meat Arabiatta Pasta ($26) for Boy, and Wagyu Beef Burger ($26) for Girl.

Boy: 8/10 for the Crab Meat Arabiatta Pasta! Tomato base was delicious, and we topped up $3 for the homemade tagliatelle noodles which was nice and had a firm bite. I enjoyed it, although crab meat was a bit sparse.

Girl: 9/10 for the Wagyu Beef Burger in Medium Rare. The buns were nicely toasted with generous amounts of butter, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The beef patty was tender and paired with copius servings of mayo, cheese and caramelized onions for a gastronomical explosion of sweet, sour and savory flavors. Fries served on the side were crispy and done well, with a salad dressed with a little balsamic vinegar.

Overall, it was a really pleasant meal. The staff was polite and the food was served quite fast! The cafe was half-filled on a Sunday evening and had cosy vibes. They use warm lighting and there isn't any background music, so it's peaceful enough for you to hold a good conversation over dinner. I would definitely recommend Eleven Strands for weekend dinner with your family, or after work catch-up with your friends!

Ambience: 9/10

There aren't many restaurants in Singapore serving risotto, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Eleven Strands offering it. The grains of the π— π˜‚π˜€π—΅π—Ώπ—Όπ—Όπ—Ί π—₯π—Άπ˜€π—Όπ˜π˜π—Ό ($24) were soft, not mushy, and the combination of asparagus, garlic and onions complemented the earthy mushrooms excellently. Bringing everything together was the fabulously flavourful broth, which made this another amazing dish.
