Finally trying the HAPPY BOX ($62) from Elijah Pies!

A Happy Box Dessert Pies Tart as my birthday cake! (Yes, I am more of a TART person than cake person!)

8 different signature flavours all in one box so you can enjoy the best of all world with your family and friends! My family actually separated out each tart into equal portions so that we can try all 8 flavours!

So here, I present to you my order ranking of the dessert pies according to my taste preference:

-Honey Chrysanthemum: This was my TOP favourite! It was so so good! Had it as the first piece, and up until the last piece, I still cant get over how good this tart was! Fragrant chrysanthemum, naturally sweet with honey undertones.

-Yuzu Meringue: My second favourite! Zesty curd with yuzu juice infused, and topped with lightly torched meringue kisses.

-Wild Berry Lavender: This was the pie which attracted me to elijah pies years ago (yes, i have been eyeing elijah pies for a few years now before I finally tried it this year, twice somemore HAHA)! I was initially afraid that the lavender taste will be too strong, hence I did not dare to buy one whole pie itself! Having eaten just one slice, it was the right balance! As it has real berries in it with yoghurt, there was a fruity taste, which balanced out the very subtle lavender hint. So this is actually quite good!

-Speculoos Hojicha: Two of my favourite ingredients all in one!

-Lime Thyme: This was slightly too sour for my liking!

-Nutella: This was unlike the typical sweet nutella, as this was mixed with dark chocolate! Hence, if you are not a dark chocolate fan, this is not for you too!

-Matcha Latte: When I got my box of elijah pies earlier, I spent a long time deciding between Matcha Latte and Speculoos Hojicha (but eventually went for speculoos hojicha)! So happy to finally try this now! Hehe, and luckily for me, the verdict that was out was that I didnt fancy this matcha latte pie! Didnt fancy the meringue pearls layer, and I thought the matcha custard didnt have a strong enough matcha taste

-Raspberry Ripple: I am sorry but this was my least liked tart of all (surprisingly)! While it was the top favourite of some of my family members. This consists of cream cheese with raspberry compote and topped with pistachio. For me, the cream cheese layer was way too thick to my liking, and I dont really fancy creamy tart/cake!

If I will to buy Elijah Pies again, it will be one whole honey chrysanthemum pie!!

Wanted to get this happy box a few months ago, but it was a seasonal item that was not sold all the time, hence when we saw it a few days ago, we immediately carted it out! It is still available now, so act fast!

When you don’t know which pie flavour to pick - Elijah Pies’ Happy Box comes with a slice of each of 8 flavours.

Not a fan of their tart crust unfortunately, we thought it could be a lot more firm, crisp and consistent in its texture. They do have interesting flavours like Speculoos Hojicha, Wild Berry Lavendar & Honey Chrysantemum. Our personal preference among these was the Matcha Latte, that albeit a bit sweet, had quite nice intense matcha notes.

Finally got to try since they don't sell single slices

It's really good, I'm surprised the blueberry filling tasted so full and the lavender comes through nicely, just at the edge of coming across as too floral. The base was good too, suitable hardness and not too messy to eat.

I can't rmb how good windowsill's pies were but lately their multilayered base is not up my alley at all(did they always have such a bad base?) I firmly believe Elijah is much more superior currently

It's not v good, there's no easy way to say it. I guess as bites it's fine but the shape and everything is hardly a pie.

Managed to get @elijahpies' Happy Box during the last launch and got to try Hojicha Speculoos and Wild Berry Lavender. It's good if you want to try many different flavours but I think the pies lacked consistency in terms of how much pie crust there was and that affected the taste quite a bit for me. I liked both flavours I tried but I enjoyed wild berry lavender more because of the more balanced filling to crust ratio 😋

I've been wanting to try the pies from @elijahpies for ages! When they announced "The Happy Box" which consisted of 8 different flavours of their pie range - I hesisted no more and swooped in to make my order. Finallyyyy y'all.

The Happy Box included:
â—¾Hojicha Speculoos
A specially crafted exclusive for The Happy Box, the Hojicha Speculoos took me back to the many Hojicha Lattes I've had at Starbucks. Which is a good thing - strong Earthy hojicha paired with a Speculoos biscuit base. Yum.

â—¾Wild Berry Lavender
Their coveted signature pie flavour that is the Wild Berry Lavender - I was excited to try this one as it's literally what Elijah Pies is all about. The berries, yogurt and hint of lavender was sublime - though I wasn't a huge fan of the regular tart base. Perhaps it would fare better on a biscuit tart base.

â—¾Raspberry Ripple
This is my childhood right here. Growing up, I loved Raspberry Ripple ice-cream. And dang, with raspberry compote and cream cheese filling on a buttery biscuit - this definitely hit the spot and brought back the nostalgia.

â—¾Matcha Latte
I figured I would be sick of Matcha by now but this surprisingly ended up being one of my top favourites from the bunch!

â—¾Earl Grey Rose
Another delicious pie in my book, the Earl Grey paired perfectly with the subtle hints of rose. Topped with swiss buttercream, the pink pie crust also worked well with the entire ensemble.

â—¾Nutella
Hard to go wrong with the simple chocolatety hazelnut goodness of Nutella. With a biscuit base, this was *chef kiss*.

â—¾Honey Chrysanthemum
While it looked as pretty as its Wild Berry counterpart, sadly this ended up being my least favourite of the bunch. I found the flavour to be a bit odd to be honest and I felt like it didn't taste like Chrysanthemum at all.

â—¾Pandan Coconut
I actually didn't fancy the Pandan Coconut as well. While it's a combination of flavours I love, it had a strong yet weird coconut aftertaste unfortunately.

Well, I'm so glad to have finally tried Elijah Pies. While there were some hits and some misses, it's still pretty good pie in my book - and oh so pretty! My heart is still with Windowsill Pies though. Oops.
