Adored the brûléed french toast in front so much I didn’t think anything else could top it, well, until the other main came along. Not just any rendang but fall-off-the-bone beef CHEEK rendang on pretty blue grains that’s not just for the aesthetics but packed the coconut blue pea fragrance it promised 😋 not a fan of sunny side ups but the awesome peeps thr kindly switched it up into my fav scrambled eggs for me, which, by the way, they also perfected 💯

Waited an hour for this so my hunger elevated my expectations. Pretty standard brunch fare and could not taste much of the truffle in the scrambled eggs. Their black and white coffee was full-bodied and rich though!

I would come back for the lunch mains because it looks more appetizing in the reviews.

The scrambled truffle eggs was OK, fluffy but a little oily. They were generous with the prosciutto and that goes well with the eggs and bread. Bread was surprisingly dry and a little hard. Coffee was good.
Do not think I will return after I have used up the Burpple 1 for 1 as you can easily get better service and food at the same price point.

Ordered the English breakfast set along with the fruit tea, the photo does not do it justice but bread was toasted nicely with a crunch in every bite, bacon was thick and juicy and eggs were done perfectly. Definitely would recommend.

Taking over now-defunct Sugarhaus is this cafe that's perfect for lazy weekends. Grab your lunch buddies and feast on the Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang ($22) – think tender wagyu beef smothered in delicious rempah, pickled vegetables and a runny egg on top of fragrant butterfly pea coconut rice (free flow!). The Grilled Halloumi is a good vegetarian option, topped with charred scallions, baby corn and drizzled with tahini aioli.

Tried their halloumi salad - it was a grilled slab of cheese along with some grilled veges which were so tasty!! I’m not usually a huge fan of scallions nor baby corn, but these were amazing!! The tahini aioli paired very well too. Every component came together so well but each also being so flavourful on its own.

The bar seats were quite cosy and we got to see our drinks being made in front of us. The staff were also super friendly which makes the whole meal very pleasant!
